Ouch, that is awful. I usually travel with a watch travel case (4) and more than a few times I have had that sinking feeling I left it in the hotel room. Luckily it hasn't happened yet. Very sorry for your loss. I guess the one good part is they weren't all gens.

It is funny how it all changes with a great watch. I was just in Maui and went to the Shops of Wailea. My girlfriend and I were wearing gens and looking in the windows from outside (a ton of Rolex, one base Panerai, etc.). We had a sales rep jump us outside. I don't even know how he knew but I have to give him credit for being on top of things. It was total Rolex heaven ( more daytonas then I have ever seen in one place) but nothing else great. Great post. I still enjoy the hobby but find myself more and more turned off by the negative vibe that has seemed to creep in, and not just toward dealers. Hopefully we have worked it out of our systems a bit and a more friendly and enjoyable forum will rise up. Cheers, CM
