  1. I think the watch-sizes will go down soon. We have all become "speed-blind" with bigger and bigger watches. It's like with everyting else in fashion - it will peak - become to much - and then go back to more normal sizes again. Look at the height of shoes in the 70's, they started out looking cool, but after the peak they just looked like clown shoes. And we don't want to wear clown sized watches, do we? Also remember the personal taste is the important thing here. If you like it -wear it!
  2. Thanks a lot, Bros, for all the good advice and answers
  3. I am thinking about selling my Omega Seamster Professional gen watch to be able to buy more reps without thinking about the economy for a whlie. What do you think about this idea? Have any of you been there done that?
  4. Hello, bros. I have bought six reps and three low prices gens and one rather expensive gen in the last four months. The money I had for this are now spent. The urge for more reps are not, and I want to order again. The looking around the web sites and then the sweet feeling when you see online that your order has been released from customs. And then, the wonderful feeling when you open the package and try your new rep on your wrist. I love it!
  5. Very interesting to follow your reporting. Wish i worked at your place. Advice: keep in mind that your boss could also be reading this forum
  6. I ordered two watches from Trusty Time on saturday 8 - and got the watches delivered to my door in Sweden today on tuesday 11. Thats three days, folks, including the weekend. Just WONDERFUL! Used EMS.
  7. All the info in this thread and on the forum are good, very good. But I understand if you want some good examples. As a newbie myself I have ordered three times now. One time from Josh with great success and one time before that from a totally unknown and unrecommended site (before I hit this forum) with great success also. My third order are now processing from Andrew and so far no trouble, hope to get my reps in ten days or so. Best of luck!
  8. Great pics, guys! The vintage Submariner looks awesome with that strap. I would really like a wrist shot of the beautiful UPOs.
  9. Strange: I' saw this magazine article were they talked to a legal person and she said that it
  10. The PuristS trip to Vacheron Constantin. Found this looong story on the web. To the story
  11. I bought this vintage IWC-rep some time ago and i love it. Take a look here It can also be had with an off white dial.
  12. That's a small price to pay for the 30 billion a year that a EU membership cost. Try to call the customs and ask what they want and then give it to them and they will release the reps to you.
  13. Hi. Just bought another one. This is a gen-watch from the swiss maker Glycine. I't called the Combat Sub. It's 40 mm wide and only 9 mm in height. I choose the quartz version but they make them with mechanical movement too. Here's a pic.
  14. Thanks. I started off with the Asian 2813-2 automatic Hour Vision. I love that watch, very art deco. Beautiful on the wrist. Now I want the swiss too.
  15. I got my two new reps from Josh the other day. Felt a little vintage and got a Rolex Sub (Bond) and a IWC Classic. Love them both. I also want to show you my collection so far. There are four or five reps and the rest i gens, most quite low priced, but the Seamaster.
  16. I still think it sounds a bit dangerous to our hobby to flash reps to gen-dealers and people in the business. You never know who a guy will talk to next, and the more people in the watch-business that get this on their agenda - the more danger of more and more governmental action against it. I can assure you that the new "super reps" have gotten lots of attention from major watch brands. I'm genuinely worried
  17. OK, here we got the beauties, my first entry into the world of reps.
  18. Hello. I found this forum a couple of weeks ago, just after I had ordered my first two reps from diamondsreplica.com (that site seem to have closed down now), but the watches arrived and looked very good. One Omega Hour Vision and a Panerai. Then I found this site and there's no looking back. This is a wonderful hobby. I now have two reps on order from Josh and I hope they will glide through customs and arrive at my doorstep next week. Fingers crossed. Thank you for a wonderful community. 19. I think that one aspect of this hobby that is very exciting is the tracking of how the replica will travel and to see how long it will take. It's a great satisfaction to see that the journey has worked and that the rep has come to "home". The biggest satisfaction is of course when you sign for the rep on you doorstep!!! I was thinking that maybe we could get a "tracking topic" together were we tell a bit about our purchase. The attached tracking is for a vintage Submariner and a vintage IWC (Josh). They are not home yet, but looking at the online tracking - it looks promising!
  20. I just bought my first two reps two weeks ago. I did not know about this forum then and ordered them from diamondreplicas.com. The reps arrived about 10 days later and looked and worked fine. It was a omega hour vision and a Panerai. For the last two days I cant reach diamondreplicas web site any more. Maybe they had to close down! So I guess i was lucky with both my first purchase and the swedish customs. :-) What I heard I should not be illegal to buy replicas in Sweden but it is illegal to sell them in Sweden according to an article i read. But i guess the customs doesn't allways know about these rules. Or maybe I am just got the wrong information? But the article accually asked a lawyer about it. I have now have two more reps on order from Josh, so it will be interesting to see how that compares with the delivery time - and the customs. Hope it will work out - I am longing for my new reps. :-)
