  1. Darrenk, just go for it, you will not be disappointed, it's a beautiful piece. Regarding your question about the running secs, as you mentioned it does not run as smooth as the gen, but IMHO it's not annoying at all, it runs smooth enough and the disk is viewable through a half circle window, so it's hard to notice any big flaw on it. I don't know if you read my review about this model, so here you have the LINK. I hope you enjoy it.
  2. Sales and Operation manager for a tech company.
  3. My vote goes to the Chopard, it's a beautiful design, and very close to the gen I think.
  4. Jimmy, I bought a couple of reps last week from him, and he was answering his email as fast as usual. Maybe your email got lost. Who knows. Try it again.
  5. Guys, do you mean this one : Of course is a low end 21j version, with wrong datewheel color and painted bezel insert instead of crystal/Sapphire. But well, for just US$ 88 (after rebate) at Watch Eden, I think it's a bargain, it's also avaible with white dial. Links HERE for black and HERE for white
  6. Great piece, as close to the gen as possible, even the gen feeling. Great pics too. Congrats & enjoy it.
  7. Rxus, sorry you have problems with your TAG, I think you have to take it to your trusted watchsmith, looks like some gear are stripped maybe because you hand winded it, on the A7750 is not recommended by no means to manually wind it. A watchsmith could replace the damage gear if any, or adjust the key less work (I don't think this is the problem, but it's my second thought). Good luck.
  8. I also got mine from Andrew at Trusty Time, and it's a beauty. Here you have pics, so you could judge by yourself.
  9. Importr, thanks for answering our questions, congrats again
  10. Stunning pics You have great skills. Congrats & enjoy it (just don't take it out on public, so nobody is going to notice the case back )
  11. Importr, that's sexy !!! Great mods. You just transform a super rep in SUPER DUPER UBER REP. AWESOME. Did you use the same hands on the ETA 7750 ?
  12. Steve, good decision, you will not regret it, ever
  13. Jaco, great piece you got, the white version is soooo elegant. Great choice. Great pics too, good skills. Congrats & enjoy it.
  14. Justice, welcome to the forum and to this great hobby. Good to know you got the help you need. Now enjoy your new puppy, by the way you started with the right foot, the Link Chrono is one of the top rep.
  15. DIMENJJ, welcome to the forum. The A7750 movt is copy of the venerable ETA 7750, on the forum you will find good and bad review of this movt, almost every complain are due the usual lack of QC on the rep world, but I could assure the movt design is flawless. So if you are lucky to receive a watch without problems, with porper care and service you will enjoy your watch for a long time. So far, all my A7750 are working without problems. Regarding the watch you select, it's a beauty, I have been tempted to get one, but a long shopping list has kept me away for the moment. My main recommendation, get your watch from a trusted dealer of the RWG or RG forums. Good luck.
  16. Unique, exclusive & elegant. Ebel fulfill perfectly this words. B-T as usual, great watch. Thanks for sharing.
  17. concepta, you must keep her, after all that love, it will be a shame to let her go Do the proper... enjoy her.
  18. Usually the reps have the caseback engraved letter also painted in black, which is wrong, the gens caseback wording is only engraved. Anyway is a easy fix, you will just need a cotton swap and pint remver or acetone, and that's it. Looks the pics of the rep from Andrew's site:
  19. Ubi, thanks for sharing those great shots. I am long time FF Fan, I have been thinking on getting one of those DSN, yours looks great. Congrats & enjoy it.
  20. I am with you, I really like TH design, but this time they went too far. Too many rubber clads, too many un-matching texture, and I really don't like the cyclop. It's the Pontiac Aztek by TH.
  21. I thought the unusual was the 6 guys in the background pics.
  22. Toad, thanks and go for the Ebel, the TH could wait a little B-T, thanks, you pointed me in the right direction with your review.
  23. On that price, go for it, change the strap for SS bracelet. If it still doesn't fit you, sell it with a good profit.
  24. I felt in love with the Ebel 1911 Discovery Chrono back in Sept. 2007 when I first saw it at a magazine waiting in an airport. Due Ebel is not so popular and not so many AD handles it, the Ebel became one of those lost love. Then I joined RWG and found the By-Tor review (link HERE), and my eyes could believe how good was the rep. As time goes by, and after many other reps, finally I ordered from Andrew a couple of weeks ago. For a moment I almost ordered the new TH Carrera DD, if you have read some of my post you should know about my affection for TH, but love prevail and ordered the Ebel. Due By-Tor review is a masterpiece, it's just silly to try to write something that even comes close to his review. So I just write down some impressions. 1.- For my wrist (6.7") the Ebel should be huge with 44.5 mm, but for some reason it just fits perfect. Maybe it's due the 39 mm black fixed bezel stand out against the case and pusher. I don't really know why, but it feels great. 2.- The dial is just awesome. I always love the 3D effect on a dial, and the dial on the 1911 has every 3D element available: raised subdials rings, applied hour markers, velvet date-day windows, prominent rehauld, and applied ebel brand. You name it, it has it. 3.- Non conventional case. The hexagonal trade mark case is gorgeous. 4.- The caseback is just perfect. Crisp engrave, right wording and fonts. Even the model and serial numbers are correct. 5.- The SS bracelet is the perfect blend of polished and brushed links, with the middle link slightly curved, as with the case, to set it apart from conventional designs. The Ebel 1911 is the perfect mix of elegant and sportive design, you could wear it with jeans or with a tux, it would look just at home. Well enough with the writing, here you have the pics, enjoy it.
