  1. Totally true, and they worth every penny
  2. I haven't seen that model, it's gorgeous. Do you have more info about it ?
  3. For Monday a new member on a big happy family, Montblanc Chrono Sport: Today, an old friend, Vulcain Cricket, for some reason I don't have a wrist shop, I guess I am getting old and lazy .
  4. Unfortunately, nope
  5. Did you totally unscrew the screw you mentioned ? Even if you did more that 1.5 or 2 turn, you could affect the keyless works. The problem you described looks like you have problem with that. To repair it or check it, you have to remove the hands and dial and re-assemble the keyless works. I don't know your skills, but you need medium to advance level to perform this, if not I strongly recommend to bring the watch to a trusty watchsmith. Also I guess the new stem has the same shape and size than the one you are replacing.
  6. The Tourbi in that site looks like the Homer sell. I recommend you to go with Homer, I never have bought from him but I have read a lot of good comments. Also the Homer's Tourbi is unbranded, which IMO is a better option.
  7. There is a rep of the Longines your are looking for at Trusty Time Link HERE. It is kind of expensive. but it look good on the pics. Also as Francisco mentioned, the Omega Speedmaster Day Date is one of the best rep.
  8. Nice bunch. Thanks for sharing.
  9. The DSSD is getting better and better. Thanks for sharing.... look forward for the review.
  10. Nice Quartz, isn't it ?
  11. Of course, all the factories copiers...oh, sorry... R&D experts and our trusted dealer were there looking for new models to captivate us in the near future. It's good to know their are doing their research duty.
  12. On Tuesday, Breitling Navitimer Tricompax in blue: On Wednesday, casual dress day, so TAG Heuer Formula 1 RED:
  13. Nop, as mater of fact the band is very soft. What you see in the pics is caused for how the strap is attached to the case, which is exactly the same as in the gen. I tried a gen Carrera at the AD, and the strap did the same.
  14. the one you posted is the closer you are going to get.
  15. Count on me...as mentor or as noob, whatever the forum needs. Maybe we could have a section with the Mentor list as b16a2 suggested, including their area of expertise, so the Noob could find the right Mentor according with his own interest. Mentor must have a limit of the number of Noobs assigned, to avoid a work overload. The Admin could post comments in section showing with Mentor is open to receive more Noobs. We could have Noob time limit, I mean a member could be considered a Noob after a period of time or after X number of posts, so they leave space for new Noobs.
  16. There are 2 version of the Monza, a cheap 21j with faux chrono, to me a total give away. And a higher level A7750 with the following flaws: 1.- Date wheel sunken (minor on my scale of flaws). This flaw could not be avoided due the additional gear on the A7750 movt to move the minute counter from 12 to 3 o'clock. 2.- Subdials placement, in the gen the subdials are much closer (this is mayor flaw for me). Notice the date window placement on the pics bellow, in the rep it is inside the chrono hour counter at 6, and in the gen the window is totally outside of the subdial. Maybe in the near future this will be solve with the new modded A7750 with closer subdials. 3.- Seconds and minutes counters are inverted in the rep (mayor flaw too), this is also due the A7750 configuration. Also with this flaw, I don't think the factories are going to solve it. Other than this, I don't see any additional problems with the rep, the pushers, crown and case size & shape look good. Caseback window as the gen, let expose the A7750, but you need an expert to notice a rep movt form the gen. Ah, of course the gen Monza has a Caliber 36 movt that run at 36,000 bph, which is way smoother than A7750 @ 21,000 bhp on the rep. But again, you need an expert to notice this. In the following pics, you could see what I mean, judge by yourself.
  17. Monday, SMP 300.
  18. OMG, sorry I don't want to be rude, but that is ugly one. You will not find a gen on this, it is a fantasy watch based on a Speedmaster case and a 21j movt. It should not cost more than US$ 100. If you like it, buy it, but been a fantasy rep it is easily to call out.
  19. Totally agree, we must keep under the radar with our beloved hobby, no big show off at the office, on the street and by no means at AD. As most of the member I am collector of gen too, but i doesn't keep me away from rep, and vise versa collecting reps doesn't mean I am not going to buy gen anymore. But rep are not quite legal, so we must do our best keeping low profile in high level rep. Lets the Brands fighting back with the POLEX and ONEGA out there. I concord with RoninQ, I don't think it's a good idea been top in every Google search about watches, this is not a smart move for us. Could the Admin let us know if this is possible ? Or if there is a reason not to do so.
  20. Hamilton launched some new models with dramatic design like the Khaki BaseJump, and others way too dramatic like the ODC-2. The BaseJump is a nice automatic chrono, too big (50 mm) for my skinny wrist. If you look the pic, you will see the usual 7750 configuration dial, but no pusher. The chrono functios are operated with the turning bezel... Cool isn't it ? Here you have the link for the full spec.
  21. On Friday, my Omega Speedmaster Day-Date, one of my favorites. Sorry, not the best pic, I was running late for work.
  22. Jeeeezzz, I would like to have the money to spare on that collection.
  23. Nice, that's a beautiful piece. Congrats and enjoy it.
  24. I think there is a crapy cheap Quartz version, but no, not a decent one.
