  1. Dude, you must do your homework, teh asnwer your look for is at the By-Tor's Omega Guide. Just as an advance news, the answer is yes there is great rep about there.
  2. Shame on you, tempting a younger (in post) fellow Thanks, but right now a run out of found in my gen budget, I recently got a gen Fortis Square. So the Doxa is still waiting.
  3. Yes, SWI are quite expensive, IMHO their prices are way out of proportion, even more considering there is not real watch heritage to back their price. Their headquarter is located at Florida, I don't have nothings against the Sunshine State, but it quite far from the Swiss valleys. They use ETA movts, Swiss made watches and their design are mostly homage of Omega and others brands. And I must emphasize, to me homage is a word freely used at the gen forums to cover the forbiden word rep. Here just an example, at the same web site they have the SWI Day-Date for US$ 4,295 and the Omega Speedmaster Day-Date for US$ 3,500, both retail price. So, the SWI is almost 800 bucks expensive, sorry but I don't get it.
  4. Nice pieces you both have there. I am big fan of Doxa, don't own one yet, but it have been in may gen wish list since a log time. Enjoy them.
  5. Please TH designers don't play with a classic, that hurt.
  6. Sweet, I would like a rep, but pleeease, the first FF must be the classic design non-chrono.
  7. Yeap, a mile close... The case is way wrong, but you are right that one is closer available out there.
  8. Lanikai, that piece is sweeeeet. Thanks for sharing yours pics, it have been just some days, but it was a long wait to see this new PO on a fellows rep lover hands. Now, I have to wait for the 42 mm version, but at least there is hope Congrats and enjoy it
  9. BT, that Ebel is a beauty. Congrats and enjoy it.
  10. To be honest, today I did not wear any watch, but due I was handling this piece almost the whole day working on its review HERE , I think it qualify for this threat
  11. Pal, that is without any doubt a much more pleasant assignment, even than write about watches. Her name is Adabel Guerrero, she is an Argentinian dancer, and the most beautiful girl I have seen So in this case write more is a waste of time, go to her site HERE and enjoy, it's in Spanish but I am sure that will not be an obstacle. PS. When I wrote this review, I never though I will be talking about her in this threat.
  12. Your are right. That is a fact of live, we have to learn to live with it, or just swap for a gen ETA date wheel.
  13. Maxim, I think it is a visual effect, I compare it with the gen at the AD's shop window and it look on spot. I guess the problem is the photo angle, due the subdials are depressed so it make it hard to compare and to capture on photos.
  14. This week I received from Andrew the TAG Heuer Carrera Chrono Day-Date Model 2008, this watch has not been reviewed before so I worked on it, I hope you enjoy it. This version has been arround for a short time, at least at Andrew's site was added on November 2008. This rep is build using a 41 mm case so I think the size discrepancy with the gen (43 mm) avoid it to become a popular rep as fast as other reps. So if you are one of those hardcore Rep Geek (sometimes I do so ), who could not live with a 2 mm flaw, stop reading now. But I must warn you, you are going to miss a lot of photos from a really good looker watch. Thanks to our fellow DonGato for let me use his TAg for this review. The Gen Brief History: The Carrera chronograph was introduced in 1964, designed by Jack Heuer, great-grandson of Edouard Heuer who founded the company bearing his name in 1860. Heuer launched the first Carrera in tribute to the
  15. Congrats... That is a nice piece. Enjoy it
  16. Spooky thanks for posting the pics. It's sad that my fear is confirmed.
  17. Are there other hobbies ? Yeap, same here, I dropped any other free time consuming activities. .
  18. TT For how long you need to plug your Harley to the wall outlet for a full charge ? :D
  19. Thanks Yes, I noticed the visual effect on the gen you mentioned, that why I am looking for a good rep pic, because the more I see the dealer site, the more I notice the "P". I really like the Mark II, and I can't believe the factories do this silly mistake.
  20. Due I have been receiving some requests to post pics of my Anonimo Millemetri......well to be honest, I didn't receive any here , but I just bought a new close up lens, so I have a good reason to use it. I am not going to write too much about this pieces, due there are a couple of good reviews around here (just a quick search away). The rep Millemetri goes to the entry level price category, so we must be live with some flaws, but IMO the flaws are minor and most of then need a side by side comparo. Just to point them out: 1.- Date font and some numbers not aligned with the date window 2.- Date winodw is miss placed, one or less millimeter 3.- Crystal is not sapphire 4.- Hands are a fraction of millimeter short I promisse not to put too much words, so for your enjoyment here you have the pics:
  21. bitza, I am big fan of the Monaco, and I had the same idea, the sec at 6 should be easy to rep. Well, so far I have not been able to find a decent rep of this model, not even a bad one. I also put my eyes on the Monza, but be aware that this TAG also has the sec subdial at 3 o'clock position, and the available rep has it at 9 because the factories use the venerable A 7750. Also the subdial spacing is wrong due the same reason. This 2 issues have kept away form the Monza so far. Maybe with the new A7750 with closer subdial, we would be able to bet a better version of the Monza, and who knows, maybe even the long waited Monaco.
  22. IMHO there are not 100% same chassis, in addition of the aforementioned common difference, the chassis itself is not the same, the difference in price sometimes is just to big just due the movt change. Again this is just my opinion, not hard evidence to support it.
  23. Coffee, e-newspaper and my IWC GST, great start for a Sunday morning...
