  2. Hi all, Today I received my long awaited package from our esteemed pre-v expert in the USA; it contained two packages; one is installed (see wrist-shot) the other needs a new PVD coating so this will take some more time. Man, I'm soooo happy with my new addition! It just looks spot-on!! many, many thanks go out to our esteemed member W0lf! two quick and dirty iPhone pics;
  3. Great Looking 201a and I'm impressed with your casework!!! did you also change a lot on the lugs? The edges of the case are beautifully smoothened! Awesome!! enjoy it!!
  4. Hi OP, just checking if you've received my email cheers and tnx fitch
  5. +1, SS version a recessed 0,55 -0,05mm for 1,2 stem (for reg rep cg) tnx!!!!
  6. more then beautifull!!!! let me know if this ends up in the sales thread absolutely stunning piece!!!!!!!
  7. congratulations! really an extremely beautifull piece!!!!!!! weat it well
  8. Actually; I had the same feeling when I finished the piece and swapped the movements and dials... it threw me off so much that I was actually considering offering it for sale or changing it into a pam9 but now after wearing it a few days it starts to grow on me (but I'm still more a pvd kinda guy...) the combo is really nice though with the pam logo Dirk strap and the beautifull rich color of the dial
  9. Hi Guys, Just wanted to share with you the results of one of two projects that I'm working on (the other one is the Pre-V 202/a which is partially ready). I must take a moment to thank some (senior) members for their help and expertise; Ubi, Simon, Chad, Flex and Tanya; THANKS to all you guys for your help and patience (for when I was asking too much questions in one mail ) This Pre-A is a result of various watches taken apart en rebuild with a particular beautifull dial (FGD original); one of only a few which has a mix with real Tritium, lume applied by the Zigmeister. I know that minor improvements can be made to the cg and crown but for now I will focuss on the 202/a which will visit another continent for the neccesary mods Finally it's on my wrist!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers guys and thanks for looking fitch
  10. beautifull 202/a!!!!!!!!!! Congratz with this outstanding piece!! :clapping:
  11. I wouldn't recommend Schaap&citroen, their general kwoledge of watches is rather poor. Amsterdam Diamod center can be a good experience, based on who is helping you but they sure have a large collection that will satisfy your needs ^_-. For vintage watched Amsterdam Watch Company (in the Jordaan area) is also very nice to visit. Have fun!
  12. so the question is; wil somebody produce a correct series..? there is an interesting project over at the geek but I believe the main focus is pre-v casebacks... has somebody asked DSN? (if not i will ) because if I understand correctly it is only the changing of the 300m to 30ATM (the rest seems ok)
  13. Thanks Miles, I'm slowly working my way up in understanding all the differences between the parts available and I've just started looking at the caseback variations. this caseback will be coming my way pretty soon: but from what I understand it has the incorrect font.. so allready there is a good picture of the DSN caseback with the correct font (shown by ubi). could somebody please also post a pic of a correct 6502 caseback (which is more correct for a pre-a 002?) and the 6500 EL caseback for reference? tnx! fitch
  14. Great post ubi! Do you also know from which source the OP 6500, BB 970099, 0099/1000 caseback is?
  15. Hi Frank, (long time ago ) magnificent project! man, you sure can be happy with the results!! truly awesome! groet, fitch
  16. interesting question! i think that most of us who stay a little longer on the board are big-watch enthousiasts and I like both gens and reps but it's hard to compare the two (gens require no modding ) and yet the feeling i have when wearing them can be (almost) the same... the gens i own are not well repped (i've tried ) and the real deal is just that much more enjoyable... the reps are usually not well enough out of the box and they require some modding (or a lot of modding..) but when it's near completion i find that i'm often very happy with the results. i have changed my collection rather a lot in the past 10 years; it has become smaller in qty and i have become much more critical. at this moment i'm very comfortable with the gens i have, i don't really have anything to add at this point (although i could name a few if i would have the budget). most fun at the moment is getting some reps to make the collection complete (for now... )
  17. glad you like it! I'm happy it arrived safe (and fast) at your door!
  18. Great write up OS, fascinating to read and you make it feel like we were almost there ourselves
  19. it looks really great!! some impressive work
  20. Wunderfull ROO Theo! Realle a beauty! Congratz!!
  21. meaning that there's a better way then this option? - getatwatch case (polished or pvd coated depending on the model) - FGD dial - LH cg - T crown - DSN caseback should we form a projectgroup?
  22. why would it be a reason to get your acount flagged..?
