LMAO, some people are sites are so anal..........just be glad your a top rated, gold plated, anti Magnetic rust proof watch geek over here on the dark side. Let them sit in their bedrooms lording up on their silly little rules playing in a pool of their own feces.........and if you start any of this over here I'll ban you myself!

Not sure what happened there, meant to say I was from the UK. Ok, those prices seem pretty reasonable, specially with the work involved! Will take a look mate. Thanks! -
Genuine Movement Rep Watch and where you got it from........ Am Keen to see what Rep watches come with good quality Swiss Movements and what you guys have bought in the past, how you feel about the watch and quality, and where you got it from, this could make a nice database of Top Quality Reliable movements and point people in the right direction to purchase (franken watches that you modded yourself wont count ) Specialy people like me who don't like opening up watches, & don't mind paying a little extra for the Swiss or Gen Movements that might not be quite so tempermental. So What you got! would love to see pics! (i dare say a lot of these will be Rolex's)

Sounds like a bit of a gamble! Think I will stick to shooting terrorists. lol -
Be careful not to get yourself tangled up in the shower, pubes trapped in your rolex strap is kinda akward to explain to the missus......

A career out of poker eh! Risky? -
Use alloy wheel cleaner and a jetwash/powerwasher. Then use a brick for the really stubborn stuff.

Because a 7750 is 3 subdials! Just realized
-
Thats pretty bad!! Trying to do some homework on 7750 movements, would it not take a new Asian 7750? This is my worry see, why do they even bother fitting crap god knows what movements in a watch that looks as good as that?!?!!?
-
I read The Zigmeister's review of the Asian 7750 and just got confused as to how I will know if its the new or old one. So the old one was not so great, but The Zigmeister said the new one looks REALLY good. Lots of these Reps have the Asian 7750 (like eurotimez and PT), they quote as having New Asian 7750's now are these the NEW ones The Zigmeister was detailing in his thread, or are these new as in not been sitting about but still the old style if you catch what I mean? Reliability is a big thing for me and I don't want to make a costly mistake. I think I acutally answered my own question thinking about it haha!.........Eurotimez NEW ASIAN 7750's are the good ones arent they! Linky http://www.eurotimez.com/page65/page91/page345/page345.html

When do I stop being a noob then? I want full respect! I will start my training this week and change the battery on my kids casio. I will then be ranked in the top 10 modders on this site.

I can only imagine he was used to handling small objects
-
Thanks, now can someone tell me, is the only reliable rep, a rep with a gen ETA? LOL!
-
This is going to be my next rep, absolutly love this watch! I think you need big wrists to carry this one off though. What price do these go for and is the movement reliable? Can you get it with a Gen Swiss movement? I might see if eurotimez can source me a good waterproof quality version. Stunning mate love it!

Thats pretty awesome! What method does The Zigmeister use to apply the lume so neat to the hands? I looked at some close ups of his work and it's pretty clever how straight and neat the lume has been applied.
-
My problem is being scared to open the cases and break stuff, I want the best, most reliable movements, just want to buy it, use it and not worry about it. Maybe we should have a most reliable watch thread too with Genuine ETA movements!? Its all well and good buying the cheaper end but "you buy cheap you buy twice" and all that tosh!

Looks nice and heavy duty! I need some straps for a few of my watches, love the THICK leather straps, you sure know your wearing them! -
And thats yet another good point. Imagine how F***ed off you would be if you spent $8,000 on a Rolex, and Joe Bloggs turnes up with his $500 Rep, that looks and performs better than his damd original! I can tell you I'd be upset to say the least, specially if that then makes people doubt the authenticity of my original one that I spent the last 2 yrs saving for!. I'd not be a happy bunny.
-
Ha! Who cares, it looks awesome, besides, you cant even see the brand of the watch during the night, the the lume is AWESOME! During the day its all authentic again. Lume is king.

Hey dude, welcome to the site, listen mate, I feel where your coming from but you obviously have not even bothered to even look at the forum secitons, its very clear to see as its been laid out in the most simple manner! Now I posted some pretty silly questions on here when I first arrived, and people kept saying USE THE SEARCH........it frustrated the [censored] out of me!, I swear to god I was getting annoyed when people kept repeating the SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH, but what you have to remember here is its acutally all out there you just need to open your eyes! I was thinking why the hell can they not just give me the answer, they typed enough to tell me to look myself, they could have spent that time giving me the damd info! Believe me.......i was close to leaving this site with frustration, but quickly realised this this is a very serious site/database where people dont just come to show off a watch but they build them, age them, service them, mod them, a lot of these people are pretty much making and modding their watches like you or I would mod a car! I'd never heard of "modding watches"! WTF!? Now a lot of the people here, specially the longer standing members or the full on restorers or tech's that really "know" watches have spent a long time writing up guides, DIY's info, photos, you name it its been done here, the information on this site is vast it really is. Now when I was asking all my silly questions, the reason why people were being rude (in my eyes) was not through ignorance, but through frustration at the fact I just found it easier to just blurt out........"YO ERM...........BEST SUB.....AND WHATS AN ETA"......not the best way to start out I guess! the more you dig round here the more you find. Asking a question like that is like asking Richard Branson & Stelios Haji-Ioannou if they could help you make a paper aeroplane. There is a dealers section and a dealers feedback too so that should show you where to start. Now the reason I'm helping you with all this is because the poor long term members have probs written this similar blurb over and over and over and over....... so I'm just doing my bit for the forum. People here WILL help you, but you have to at least try and look around first. I actually get this place now, I can understand why some get frustrated (both ends noob and old timer) but stick with it, LOOK around the site and dig about..... It pains me to quote my father but here goes: THE BEST WAY TO FIND YOUR WAY AROUND A NEW AREA IS TO GET LOST. IE......just get stuck into the sections, follow links, read reviews and you will find you learn a lot more than you set out to.
