Doesn't ding my wrist at all. I'm not certain if this is due to the fact that my watch is from the second run or how I have it sized / how it fits my wrist...
  2. Reportedly Ms. King, second production run with guaranteed QC - $375 shipped.
  3. Last week Angus shared that they are trying to get it out before CNY... let's hope so, I'm anxious to see the final production model!
  4. Hey Ken, I'd prorbably be in for the group buy, let me know if you can corral enogh peeps.
  5. I just got mine from Angus last week, it's a beauty and has been on my wrist ever since. I have it on a carbon fibre strap which pairs very nicely, IMHO I have had no problems with this movement so far - a lot has been written on the new Asian 7750 so you may want to search the forum some more in case you are still uncertain. I think the lume looks a little green v. both he gen and last gen rep, but I personally don't consider that a deal killer - I might take care of that aftermarket. The blue hand is not quite the right color either, but again not a deal killer for me...
  6. Angus shared that this is the new asian 7750. Nice improvement over the last version, thanks for posting it.
  7. Nice one! Parmigianis are absolutely fantastic. Actually, looking through a display back Parm with a loupe was my defining moment in 'getting' horology. I'm constantly tempted to just bite the bullet on a gen - Mrs. Drop just needs some more convincing
  8. So I was about to get a Moonwatch to pair with a NATO strap for a sporty look, but the new SMP Chrono is pretty sweet... I haven't seen the chrono in person - anyone think the case and blue color suit a black NATO strap? I know, kind of a girly question Gracias.
  9. I ordered a Regulateur (white dial) and, for the heck of it, a JLC Reserve de Marche (black dial) from Joshua - I'm quite excited to see how good a value these $100 reps really are. I'm placing some of the other watches from this thread onto my future purchase list, thanks again for the inputs.
  10. Cool, thanks for the added tips - seems like Josh's looks pretty good. I'm quite happy with my discount, especially since my cuff will cover it 99% of the time
  11. Ok I'll stop sweating the small stuff, call a rep a rep, and just pick one up. The font differences between the various versions is interesting as well... I think the regulateur is fantastic looking in all its derivations, thanks for sharing.
  12. Can you share where you found the regulateur with the 30 at 6? I'm a big fan but the current run doesn't seem to have that detail...
  13. Totally agree with you on the Overseas, but I'm looking for more of a dress watch on a strap. I keep browsing the dealers' sites but am still not having luck finding something of obvious high quality... maybe I'll have to expand scope to AP, Breuget, etc... grr.
  14. Hi all, I'm looking to add the next piece to the collection and appreciate any insights you can share. I am very intrigued by three VCs - the regulateur, malta chrono and the jubilee (stainless all, white dials). Any comments on versions too look for, accuracy, quality, etc? While it's my favorite at face value, I'm having a rough time findng a regulateur with the small 30 at 6... plus the choice in movements seems somewhat not so great... Thanks as always!
  15. I have a 6.5" wrist and think 44mm looks just fine - not sure I would go much larger myself though.
  16. I'd be in for a white sub and blue hand version if it were available.
  17. Gorgeous, thanks for posting the pic. Reminds me of a Parmigiani Kalpa...
  18. Some members kindly directed me to a PAM 049 for my wife - Joshua delivered it, she loves it. I also think the FM Conquistador is also pretty cool and very nice quality, without overt bling - the guilloche dial is a nice touch.
  19. I just got mine, it's a beauty. My first 44mm PAM...
  20. Most grey market sites will probably give you a similar deal on that watch. I was shopping what I recall was an Esplanade Cuervo y Sobrinos some time ago... and even the Horologie store in the Venetian hotel pulled 20% off list without my asking. I advise checking with Silvermagic, SVS-Intertrade and the other usual suspects to compare if you haven't already...
  21. Beautiful! Looks like the indices are recessed? Hard to tell from Davidesn's pics..
  22. Oh dang, I didn't see the 'tachymetre'. Maybe just 196 then...
  23. I'm trying to make a decision between the 250 and 212... will go with the asian movement for either. Thanks for advice and insights from those that already have these. 250 - the new brushed case from Joshua looks great. Are all the subdials recessed? Hard to tell from pics... Mod datewheel available? 212 - I like the cleaner look, but am assuming the newer asian 7750 may not be available. Are the subdials recessed? Is one available without the "Reg TM" marker on the crown guard? I wish the minute ticks were correct... maybe wait for the next gen? As always, thanks a bunch!
