  1. 1575 movement... can anyone help?
  2. Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... I'm just being silly is all... look at the post icon.
  3. Obviously the Graham Chronofighter is a perfect watch for a woman
  4. If you are including WM9s, then we can include: Spinmaster's DW cased Valjoux 72 Daytonas Spinmaster's DW cased Asian 7760 Daytonas J&W's Explorer 2's and vintage Daytonas etc. (if you really want to drop $3-4k on a rep with genuine movement and parts). Technically these are "out-of-the-box" as you don't do any further work.
  5. Panerai Flyback? No way, there's no flyback functionality, an instant giveaway.
  6. Anything with mods: pick any of Ubi or Kruzer's watches Any "out-of-the-box", then: 1. Franck Muller Casablanca solid 18 karat gold; 2. Franck Muller Long Island case, Crazy Color Dreams; 3. Panerai "Ferrari" grey dial 2-register chronograph; 4. Omega SMP Chrono. Honourable mentions to: FM Conquistador with ETA 2892 (possibly out of production) FM Vegas Breitling Chrono Avenger (out of production, titanium) Breitling Avenger Seawolf (out of production, titanium) Breitling Super Ocean Steelfish PAM027 with ETA 2892 and SOPROD Power Reserve module (out of production) Corum Admiral's Cup Competition (non-chrono in titanium) Porsche Design Flat 6 Chrono Omega SMP (out of production) etc.
  7. Enjoy. www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/men/article6722019.ece
  8. I've still got one of those MBWs still in the plastic in the hope of doing something like this, but with the servicing problems, I'm not so sure. If I were you, I would keep a couple of spare movements around for later use. Of course, The Zigmeisterzumba is one of the few that many be able to service it, in which case you are fine Can't wait to see the finished project
  9. PS. the links in your signature to tips for cameraphones don't work for me.
  10. Great review I must stay away from this !
  11. There were a couple a few years ago. One in Milton Keynes I believe. I can't remember who organised that one, but there may be pictures on RWG1. There was a small one in Holborn just after that and the likes of V, Exper, Finepics, Kasigi (who hasn't been around for a while?), were there. There may still be pictures around. I remember taking my RXW Plasmir Milgraph there, and V had his 212 back then with the Hirsch Trieste deployant strap, relumed by finepics, and finepics with his beloved PAM127 ... those were the days Apologies to anyone I didn't list, my memory is hazy, and I got there a while later than everyone else, so may have missed a few.
  12. I agree on Freddy's ideas on SpinMaster's modified 7750... it truly is a great deal, without the huge spend and headache of finding all the parts. He services them all as well, he's posted pictures, so that makes it an even better deal. No need to worry about a poorly serviced and lubricated movement I think he services the Singapore members watches, so we know it's not just talk... For those of us already on the way towards a V72 powered 6263/5, it's not so easy And there's a guy in Israel who sells, in official unopened packaging, for $650 per pusher
  13. How much are genuine parts like: -pushers -crown and tube -bracelet and endpieces -bezel (6263 or 6265) I'm not 100% sure on how much those should cost. I can PM if that's better, but others may want to know as well.
  14. Great post Ubi! I've been looking for costings on these things Hopefully someone like Freddy can put in a listing for the 6263/5 as that's something I would like to complete as well.
  15. or is it covered by "sapphire crystal" like the Cousteau's wood sticker?
  16. 028 and 063 from EL with ETA 2893 movement
  17. yes that's the other problem with this watch.... how do you wear it ?
  18. The site says: and then later on: I'm confused what case material is used
  19. No problem, you already specified it was for a limited time and it was a favour for everyone else
  20. Can a mod please edit the title? I can't believe I spelled "compliments" wrongly in my haste
