The yukiwatch cases are allegedly 1:1 and accepts gen parts. I asked them and they said they would get back to me and let me know if a gen crystal and bezel will fit. It will take a gen movement though
The vietnam cases are supposed to be great too.
anyone have a gen 1570/5 GMT movement ? I have gen dial and hands I need it for.
How does this compare to the original EL ones from years ago ? Only differences I can say without seeing them side by side would be:
-Poor PVD on EL version
-EL version has decorated movement
-EL version needs better cyclops?
For both;
-need genuine crown;
-need datewheel.
How do the two dials compare? and the caseback engraving? The hands/lume? CG?
My 3 favourites are vintages, which are:
1. 1665;
2. 1655;
3. 6265 (preferably Paul Newman dial).
What are your 3 favourites?
(Post pics if you can, I'm off to bed in a minute )
I was told the same (for case and GMT mod). I wasn't told there was another case though, but it's the first time I have contacted them.
The GMT mod involves putting in aftermarket parts, but it sounds like not many are required. No idea what that is though.
Thanks for the write-up Freddy, I was considering one of their 1655 case sets to fit in my gen dial and hands, and also to use their modding expertise on a 1570 movement to GMT movement like someone else had done.
Thanks for the info. I guess if a gen crystal fits a DW (or Vietnam) case, then the gen bezel should fit around the crystal, so by extension, should hopefully fit the DW case. I would hope
Well, it's up in the sales section today, you could have gone there to get one already verified to work, or you can get a gen IWC movement from Concepta with the seconds at 6
They aren't one and the same ????
One weird thing I have found is the cursor is right on the border of the post page and can't be seen flashing. I don't know if the bothers anyone else?
i know what you mean. go to the bottom of the page and use the drop-down menu to choose "RWG (original)" which is a lot easier on the eyes
Still not quite as before, but an improvement on the black background.
The darker skin just made it look like the other fora... this one is so much better.
Haven't had much of a chance to poke around, but seems ok on Windows machine using Chrome.
I use IE6 at work, but most of my browsing at work is done on Chrome. Can't be bothered to upgrade IE. I also have firefox at work ... great to have admin rights, everyone stuck with IE
