The way I see it is that these are both inaccurate (with the case size, bezel functionality and colour etc) so why not get the one I like... Also, how many dark (black or blue) dial divers' watches do I need? I have multiple PAMs and Omegas and so on.
Well I'm off (and broke and injured) to Scandinavia for my birthday so see you all... my choice for this trip looks like Omega Seamaster GMT White Dial for the time zone changes .... I was really tempted to take a titanium PAM or orange dial Doxa!
I wonder how things will change in the meantime while I'm gone ?
I didn't vote, just in case... Now that my choice of the GP Seahawk has been forcibly removed from the lead, I may be interested in this, BUT only if it is made in titanium.
Me too, always low on money or I would have bought a few straight off and not had this problem... a 028, 029 and 063 waiting for a CG
As for his supplier, he went out of business...!
But davidsen or rep sapphire crystal will still fit snugly in the case and look fine ? I am not putting together a watch with PAM on the dial so it doesnt matter if it looks exactly like a PAM regarding crystal height...
Water resistance because the crystal fits is much more important.
Angus - Is it possible you could charge members a fee to get the rotor engraved as they want, with the relevant waiting time ? I don't think there would be a huge amount of people who would go for it, but it would sate those who want it, as well as swell the numbers in your initial group buy?
Sapphire glass in genuine watches is not using the precious mineral sapphire, but made from Corundum, which is the same thing. Rep sapphire should be the same material, Corundum, too.
Do Davidsen's crystals fit jimmy's cases? I have a case set too, and a tourbillon movement to go in it, once I get the new palp crown
Ah yes, guess I was just excited about the Seahawk and didn't realise it was also right to left (increasing power reserve).
I'd be interested to see how the module works, but I don't think it should be a big deal to reverse the direction it goes in - perhaps it is optional on the module?
I'll think about it, but I'm sure it's an obvious thing to correct.
I seem to have found one that fits in the bunch I have here. Strangely I received a pair with a strap, one fits, the other is a fat one.
Now the problem is that the DOXA rubber strap is a b!tch to fit ... only got one side on so far... 1 hour later and I gave up
By-Tor, if it's that rubber strap you want, look at Thornton Watch.
I am thinking of getting one myself... if only there were curved ends so it is a snug fit.
No problem:
Using the PAM028 as an example (one that I have)... the arrow faces up and goes from left to right.
Now on the GP Seahawk, the arrow faces down and goes from right to left.
This is exactly the same (just extend the arrows over/below the x-axis and you will see what I mean).
So I think this should be no problem...
Now add options of titanium or steel... different dial types, and the option of rubber or steel bracelet (and aftermarket straps)... this one will be damn good
