  1. Looks great. Nice to have the rubber strap for when you want a bit of variation too, you'll love it on the rubber strap!
  2. I see what you mean now Omisana, I thought you meant the KM was red, which is what the gen is. I see that it is faded in the pictures, as Andreww says, I would live with it.
  3. None that I know of. Edit - I think there might be a cheap asian replica kicking around, but Im not sure if this is still available.
  4. Not one available as of yet, and I wouldn't bet on an accurate rep being made either. The quartz movements in these watches is incredible. I would imagine the functions they include would be beyond any cheap available quartz movement for a rep.
  5. There aren't any reps that you could mistake for the real thing. Thats one of the reasons I went for the aerospace. Like the B1, they are very unlikely to be reproduced to a high standard.
  6. Beautiful, I really need to get me one of those!
  7. I havent got mine in front of me at the moment, but I remember that the outter bezel numbers are a fraction out of lie with the numbers on the dial, it isnt by much though, and I have never really noticed.
  8. nice pics, especially like the black on the strap!
  9. Not my cup of tea, looks too cluttered
  10. This rep is almost perfect. Buy this one, this is the best version that will be available.
  11. When the general public are presented with the reps we are able to obtain, the vast majority will think the watch is genuine. We know what the flaws are, so we are much better educated in spotting reps.
  12. The top case back is correct for the regular Bentley motors, 3,6,9 layout with the date at 4o'clock The bottom case back is the one used for the Bentley 6.75. This has the 3,6,9 layout also, but the day and date are at 12. The other Bentley (with smooth bezel) has a picture of the Bentley Bontinental R on the back and has a brushed finished case The Breitling Bentley GT (44mm 12,9,6) has engraved writing on the case back The Breitling Bentley GT (44M 12,9,6) is a brushed case with a picture of a car on the case back also.
  13. Beautful pictures again Stephane. That is a really nice Tissot!
  14. Thinks it's just the lighting in the pic, that's a gen PO
  15. tbh without wanting to sound rude, the only person you fool is yourself. If someone asks if it's a rep, its a very dodgy route to take in replying 'no it's a genuine'. Imagine if the guy had have been a bit more poilte and begun talking to you about watches. If he asked you if it was a rep and you replied no its gen (but he knows full well it's not), it doesn't paint a very good pitcutre of you. Dont take this post personally, because when I first started collecting reps, it was nice to think that people might think I had a real Breitling or a real Omega. Gradually as you get deeper into the collecting of reps, you realise that the reps are so good, it's more fascinating to the majority of people that they are just reps.
  16. haha Would have been funny if he had recognised the link!
  17. It wont leave any residue as the screws are inside the bracelet, just dont squeeze it like a toothpaste tube The bracelets are fairly easy, remove two screws and a link comes away. You have to remove two screws per link though, due to the angle of the bracelet.
  18. These are notoriously tricky to remove, I would recommend taking it to a local watchmaker to remove for you. Most watches with pins in the links can be removed using a link remover tool that you can usually pick up on eb@y.
  19. The bracelet on these aren't overly heavy on the gen anyway. As far as scews coming loose, just screw them up tight when you first get it, and use some loctite.
  20. Sounds like he is a bit of an A$S. In situations like that I wouldn't try and challenge him to identify it as a rep, because that's what it is. I would be frank with him, yes it is a rep, now justify to me as a jeweller, why I would want to spend an extra $5000 buying one from your good self!
  21. If it wasn't I would want to know the 'collector' It looks great on that bracelet. I met someone a few months ago who had exactly the same combo, with the bracelet with the 'hidden' clasp. I'm seriously considering a gen of this watch, it is a lovely looking piece!
