  1. I would agree with Dluddly, for out of the box accuray the Railmaster is hard to beat. The Aqua Terra's are also very very good. The UPO is agreat replica, but compared with todays replicas it is slightly lagging behind, but don't let that put you off!
  2. The cheaper ones I have seen have an incorrectly placed He valve. I don't know whether theywould accpet genuine parst either as most of the projects are undertaken on the UPO, so a different case set projectmight be a little risky. I really believe to get a good Planet Ocean replica, all you need is an UPO with a double AR coating, it makes all of the difference. Spending more than this really makes the genuine the better option at the prices you can get them at on the second hand market.
  3. My favourite combo is the blue/silver comination. However, the problem with the replica is that the dial is a creamy white colour. The gen does have a very obvious silver colour to it, so that's a killer for me. I think the black/red looks much better on the bracelet. It's a shame that the all black version doesn't have the blue details on the subdials as that would be a great one to go for!
  4. Having owned a number of UPOs and a gen 45mm, I can tell you if you like the PO, then save for the genuine. Everything about the genuine is just that little bit better.....the dial texture, the AR, the movement, the crown and stem, the build quality etc.... Check out the review of the gen in my signature, that might be of some help.
  5. I think this has been around for a while now, Timeshops has had it on his website for quite a long time. Looks like Joshua has finally found out about it.
  6. Nice collection! My guess is; The three Rolex's are reps (TT might be gen) The Panerai and Omega are reps The Tag F1 is a rep, but the Carrera and the Tag 2000 are genuine?
  7. Looking forward to seeing pictures of the Ebel, it is a watch that has really grown on me over the past 6 months! The old Carrera is still available to buy from new, but I am guessing that in a few years, it might be phased out with this one becoming their new and only line of Carreras. I don't know how it will go down with the hardcore Tag fans because the styling of the old one is loved by all. I think because of this Tag may continue the older style for a little longer and won't go pulling the plug straight away, we'll see though!
  8. Now that is cool! I have to get me one of those, do they do finance?
  9. I can't unfortuately as I don't have access to this watch (see intro to the review).....I think there might be a wrist shot on RG under the name of Digitalnrg though.
  10. Welcome to the board from another Sussex dweller I just had a look at the link, when I type in my details it gives me access to my subscription details, so it might be a slight glitch for people who haven't already upgraded. Contact one of the admin team and they should be able to provide assistance.
  11. Great to see it came through Laz, as soon as I saw that white box, my heart started skipping faster It wears very nicely on your wrist, don't you think the bracelet is just one of the most comfortable out there? Wear it well, glad you finally got the watch you wanted from a young age!
  12. What on Earth is that all about? It reads like they're playing some kind of computer game!
  13. At that price, you could afford to fly half way around the globe, pick it up in person come back with it on your wrist and still have got yourself a bargain......that pretty much sums up how riciulous that low price is.....would you receive a genuine watch if shipped by airmail....no way
  14. Nice IWC, genuine without a doubt....nice price, a bargain without a doubt.....bad seller, a scammer without a doubt! Offer him cash on collection, he'll soon change his tune....oh no, erm I am quite busy bla bla bla, I can't meet face to face my company has just posted me overseas yada yada My advice is to stay away. If it is a genuine seller who has gone insane to the point where he wakes up in the monirng thinking he is a parsnip, and he selling a genuine IWC at this price I apologise for the deal you will miss out on
  15. Beautiful! I was wearing mine this evening, it really is a picturesque watch. It's the kind of watch you just look at for the sake of looking, and not for telling what the time is!
  16. Is it the one in the picture that is running fast? If it is, it looks like it's based on an Asian 21j movement which is quite a cheap movement, but can be quite a workhorse. Gaining over 3 minutes in 24hours would be too much to perfect by regulation, and the movement is so cheap it's not worth servicing, so it would be a case of putting up with it in my opinion, or replacing it with a newer movement. I would opt for the former. Someone who knows movements a little better might have some better advice though
  17. Defintiely gen, that'll shoot up in price over the next few days.
  18. Unfortunately the date can't be raised because some of the gears run directly over the top of the datering.
  19. Yep that's genuine The slide rule does line up, it corresponds to the 60marker not the red KM. I think the red KM marker is there so when you put the red 10 on the outter bezel in alignment with it, you can read off of the red inner markers at the 9 position (if that makes any sense )
  20. Here's a picture; @ Wayward, I think I have to agree, I seem to remember it looking much better than this. I think it does look better on the Speedy! Maybe it was the GMT I was thinking of.
  21. If it's before September count me in. Rome is somewhere I was going to visit in the summer anyway, so I could make it coincide with the GTG.
  22. You can tell your friend that it has 'He' written on the valve, and there is no hologram. The Omega sign is on the Crown, not the He valve. If he doesn't believe you, I can send you pics of my gen
