  1. My thoughts would reflect many of the things you have commented on. I too am a very punctual person. I feel that punctuality reflects many characteristics of a person. Organisation, planning, time managemtn to mention a few. I always make sure that I have time to arrive somewhere of importance, I go by the Navy rule of being on time is being five minutes early. If you arrive on time, you are already five minutes late
  2. This on saturday; And on sunday;
  3. The tell on the BCE is the date font. No other tiny flaw will be noticeable. Even then the date font isn't all that bad. I would say that the BCE is by far the best rep I have ever owned, closely contended with by the SOSF. Go for the BCE, you won't be disappointed.
  4. Awww, thats like seeing an ex girlfriend that your still really good friends with. That was my first ever Pam, sadly it's not with me anymore. Looking forward to seeing the new dial!
  5. Defintely interested in this one if they can get the rubber strap sorted for the black 46mm version.
  6. Check out the collectors section, most of the listed people in there do them
  7. Very nice watch! Wear it well
  8. Good to see you finally have your holy grail watch SQ! I am with you on this one, it is the best dial theme out there for a ROO. This is the one watch that I would consider selling my right arm for (the gen anyway), wear it well.
  9. So close!! Well I think I can guess what the rest of my evening is going to be spent doing haha Just got back from RNAS Yeovilton. A guy down there has a special edition too, but its the Sea King version. It also has the gey dial like yours, personally I think it's the best colour for this watch, looks really smart! Like you say, it has a lot of style that I think is hard to appreciate until you've had the chance to see one in the flesh. Where it well, and don't run the battery out playing this game too much haha
  10. I think if you had gone down that road, and admitted that it is a rep, then the ball would be in your court. You could turn around and tell him that the rep is actually very close to the gen and he has no idea what he is talking about. 'Does he have the gen?' 'No, so why comment on it'
  11. Nice purchase Chrgod! The Aerospace as Im sure you'll agree is the most comfortable watch to wear! It looks awesome too! There is a challenge you have to complete now though. Go to the stopwatch, and you have to stop it 12mins 34secs and 56m/secs (so it reads 12 34 56) I have tried and failed many a time!
  12. Why do you feel it was worthy to re-open a post that had come to an end with such a worthless post? If you have something constructive to say then say it, but that post really isn't helpful.
  13. And on the point of the weight, and feel, I would say it is wrong, and he simply went on your reaction. I haven't ever held a gen/rep rolex. However, from what I have read, there is little difference between the two, and you would need both in your hands to be able to make such a bold statement. He was just lucky with his guess!
  14. Sorry to hear you got outted in front of a good looking girl, that can never be good. However, always bear in mind they are just replica's. I tell anyone that asks that its a rep (if it is) becasuse I never know who Im talig to. They may know what they're talking about, and if they do , and I say its gen, or words to that effect, then thats wouldn't give a very good impression of myself. It's always better (I feel) to admit it's a rep, and state how much of a saving you did make. That gets more people interested than telling people its gen (or not admitting it to be a rep) in my experience.
  15. Would have to be the SMP for me;
  16. Very nice! The chrono avenger is one of my favourite watches. It is the ultimate in the Aeromarine collection.
  17. Beautiful collection. The Speedmaster is one of the all time greats!
  18. Nice purchase. The sapphire on the gens is also fairly thin when compared with other watches. This is becuse it has no diving capabilities, so there is no need for a thick glass. It will withstand a lot but don't try the hammer test
  19. I quite like it! I think the best option is the brown leather strap though
  20. Nice collection, a very good range of watches.
  21. Guys have a great time! I would really like to join you all, but unfortunately I am inundated with uni work over the next month, so can't afford to take the time out! If ever there is another gtg in Europe count me in. I am planning on travelling through a lot of Europe after I graduate so I might try and sort out a few visits on my way around nearer the time.
  22. I would recommend a cheap casio for the gym. I find the metal gets irritating and uncomfortable as iget hot, so a casio with rubber strap would be best suited I feel. Also with the casio, you have less risk shaking something loose.
  23. If this is the rep that has the seconds running at 6 it could be a risky buy. Unfortunately the gear system to move the seconds to that position is not well made. Gears were used instead of jewels, resulting in more friction than what the movement can usually cope with, so just bear in mind it may not last long.
