  1. I did a search for Breitling Bentley yesterday on the UK ebay. Of two pages, only one was genuine! There are many fakes on there, but they are easy to spot after reading through the forums, and learning how to spot them.
  2. Incredible how lucky this guy was.......
  3. Nice pictures! Like the stand! If you don't mind could you let me know where you sourced that from?
  4. Beautiful collection, its good to see how tastes change through time! Is that Pam modded, or just a very good rep?
  5. Well at my local airport I go and help out a company who fly vintage aircraft. There has just been a local airshow, along a seafront, and they therefore use the airport I help out at as a place to land and re-fuel before flying along the coast to do the display. Anyway, this Hurricane had it's propellor damaged on a taxi light, and the company I help out agreed to give it some hangar space. Il be going down there tomorrow again to help out (and take some decent pics too) so I'l be wearing the Aerospace for the occassion.... Then on sunday Il opt for the GMT again...
  6. Beautiful watch, nice pics too! Just a quick tip - press enter between the insert image text, so it moves it down to the next line. This allows the pictures to be displayed vertically rather than horizontally
  7. See K222's post, he has an AR coating service available in Europe. The pictures as shown by his previous run are somewhat incredible! So Il leave this little avenue closed for now, unless in the future K222 stops the AR runs and we require another to be started.
  8. Glad you survived the move! Il be down for two!
  9. Nice story!! Pam's certainly do have the understated look, but it draws people to them!!
  10. I don't know too much about the whole process, and CC you are indeed the expert in this area, but it must be possible because Breitling have a durable AR coating on their watch crystals without a lip.
  11. If you upgrade your membership, all will revealed
  12. Also.....they strip the existing AR from the crystals, are all crystals given this treatment, or should it be specially noted for the crystals that require it?
  13. That looks better than my gen Breitling haha Very very good!! Count me in!
  14. note the auction ends on 3rd september 2100hr GMT time
  15. Ok so we need to raise some funds for the board. (I hope this is OK with admin, I remember seeing something similar a while ago, if it is against policy let me know, and Il change/remove this post) I love this place, I am here more for the interaction between members rather than the watches now. I have never found a forum quite like it! So I have had a quick look through my draws and found a rubber Panerai strap to fit a 24mm at the lugs Pam (005, 111 etc etc), which is now up for auction. All proceeds go towards the board, not to me. Il start the bid at $10. Think of this as a donation rather than purchasing the strap itself. Shipping is free of charge worldwide, but Im not going to be responsible for any customs.
  16. This will be a MASSIVE breakthough in terms of the 7750 reps available to us! The finishing touch for the BCE!
  17. Is this the new 'ultimate version' he has for sale?
  18. Yes it can be. I had mine removed with a dremel and diamond paste I think. I would imagine a lab will use a corrosive based agent to strip the existing AR from the crystal. It was surprising on the Navitimer crystal, even though only a slight ar, it was very durable and tough to remove!!
  19. With the Navitimer it will just pop out (after the movement has been removed), the UPO you wil need to remove the bezel, and Im not sure about the Evo.
