  1. Nice find! I find this an interesting picture (from Goldeneye), as it woulld appear that the SMP has a double AR coating in this film?
  2. If you can get end links with it, you can fit the bracelet to it. A genuine bracelet in TT would be very expensive! Try Ruby she may be able to source you something!
  3. Congratulations, it is a beautiful watch! Wear it well!
  4. I may be wrong but just because it is 28k, doesn't mean it will sweep like a Rolex. If the movement is poor quality, then it will sweep with a slight jerk.
  5. The new Breitling Bentley 6.75 with black dial
  6. The Breitling for today The tomorrow Il be back to my favourite watch of the month
  7. Yes they double checked the material and said it was fine. As far as the Rolex statement goes I will clear this up with them. Please let's not get to hasty and debate this point too much until I get a further explanation from them about it They have experience in coating watch crystals as the machine is already set up to do such a procedure. I want the community to know that this really is testing the water. If the crystal comes back with a coating that is not to the high specifications we have seen on Chieftangs run, and also from the pics we have seen of K222's preliminary run, I will not offer a group run, and I will refund the contribution made by Ryaku in sending the crystal, so it can be put towards being re coated by one of the other two runs. However going on what they have told me; the durability, the tint, the reduction of reflections, I am very hopeful that we will get a good result.
  8. It's a shame it's not a SS Omega, as far as I know there aren't any of the titanium ones available in replica form. It would work otherwise though.
  9. What you have there is indeed a fantasy watch. Breitling did release a Navitimer called the Heritage, but it looks different to that....
  10. Ok, thank you all for your interest in this. I have a crystal to send off, I will keep everyone posted on this. I will enquire about the Rolex coating, as I too am curious.
  11. Well I found my will power again, and I ended up selling my only Pam, which was the Davidsen 005 on Vanilla strap. The watch was sold, but the strap is still here. I am looking to buy a gen early next year, so I reduced my collection somewhat, and unfortunately the Pam had to go. I will say though, I could have very easily have spent alot of
  12. I've heard Chuck Norris can open a watch case back just by looking at it!?
  13. Don't want to discredit what you have said, but some pictures would really help your case here.
  14. It will indeed. The gen ETA 7750 datewheels fit the Asian and vice versa.
  15. It happens to the best of us. You have managed to resist much longer than I did
  16. Not a very good picture but hopefullt this might help Lello....its as described above, from a Breitling Navitimer 7750 Asian movement
  17. Il keep you posted. The company do all sorts of coating. Green, purple, blue, bloom free etc... They can do single and double ar projects. The good thing is because they have the program set up to do the rolex crystals, there is no set up costs in that respect so if successful, the costs should be similar to what we have seen from other AR runs. I don't want to jump the gun as it is early days yet, but I will keep you all posted on progress.
  18. Yes that's correct. I have a date wheel from an asian 7750 (Breitling Navitimer) and the teeth are aligned with the numbers as in the picture.
  19. I have just been on the phone to a company here in the UK that provide AR coating services. They actually coat Rolex crystals (which I didn't realise had AR coating) and they also provide a service to other brands. I sent them a picture of a genuine Breitling showing clearly the type of AR coating we would need. They will offer this, and I can send a minimum of one crystal upto however many we need doing. The coating itself is very tough. Durability is on a ratio out of 100 scratch test 99.8, and they also come with a 2 year guarantee. Price will be around what we have seen from previous AR coating runs. If anyone has a crystal that they would like coating please let me know and I will send it off as a tester. I will contribute payment towards the cost of the process, and pay all shipping fee's (from me to the company, and from me back to the member) as I really want to see how this comes out, but unfortunately I don't have any sapphire crystals needing this treatment as I am on an AR run already. They have said that blue, purple, and violet are available, (violet is apprently the closest to the Breitling hue) and this is a double coating, inside and out, and very resistant to marking (see above for the scrtach test ratio) If anyone would like to step forward with a crystal for this, please PM me. The price for this tester crystal will be cheap as I will put some towards it and include shipping to the company, and back to the member.
  20. I don't know about duct tape, but a pair of marigolds have opened two watches for me before
  21. There are many functions on this model, and they are all operated via the crown, there are no chrono pushers. If you roate the crown without pulling it out, it will move through the various modes that the watch has. The different modes that are available are; stop watch digital time digital timezone 2 seconds and date day and date countdown timer and alarm These are all contolled by turning, pulling and pushing the crown There is also a minute repeater, so the watch will give a sonic indication of the hours and minutes. Hours = long beep Quarter hours = two mid beeps 5 minutes = five short beeps Minutes = one short sharp beep This allows you to know what the time is without looknig at the watch, and can therefore concentrate on navigation, the target etc.... It has the usual Breitling AR coating for easy readability in all light conditions, superlumed hands come as standard, although they are only tiny hands, so they don't glow as a Panerai would. Being titanium and a qaurtz movement it weighs next to nothing, and is very thin so it fits easily under your flight suit/shirt sleeve.
  22. At 18, I knew I wanted a Breitling. My interest in joining the Air Force pretty much sealed that desire. After much research, the Aerospace appealed to me the most. It has a combination of being lightweight and comfortable, yet still retaining the uniqueness found in Breiling watches. So the Aerospace it would be. After much more research into the model, I found that Breitling made special edition versions of their watches, and issued them to the military. Of all the Ltd Ed ones that I discovered to exist, the British Aerospace Harrier version was the one I wanted. So three years later, and plenty of searching and patience, I bought one.. The wrist shot A blurry one Compared to the thickness of an Omega Seamaster Professional Chrono....it's a very thin watch!! Thank you for reading the thread
  23. Pug that is insane haha. Congratulations are in order I guess
  24. Impossible to remove, but don't sell it to the Doc, sell it to me On a serious note, a pair of yellow rubber marigolds usually do the trick for me ps don't have to be yellow ones
  25. Very nice! One of the best replica Breitlings ever made! Would look very nice on a rubber strap....free plug: coincidently I have one for sale but not advertised yet With a gen dial (you might be lucky to find one on ebay), and a double AR coating by Chieftang would make that 99.99%!!
