  1. With the Navitimer with sub dials at 12,9,6, you dont get the recessed date problem, and yes the newer asian movement is better than the older one. I have both layouts, and I like the 12,9,6 two tone version more than the other stainless steel one I own with 3,6,9 layout. It looks particularly good on the leather strap.
  2. How about placing your IWC on a strap? Thats an elegant looking watch, would look very nice on the strap! Think Pug has posted some pics of this in the IWC area.
  3. Leaving for Greece in 5 hours. To say I am lookin forward to it is an understatement. Being British, I could complain about the crappy weather we've had, but I will refrain, I am looking forward to some sunshine though! The watch of choice, none other than the White steelfish on gen rubber! Il make sure I get some decent photo's and put them up when I get back. See you all soon!
  4. I am one of the lucky ones, I have had 100% success with mine so far. One of them is a year old Navitimer, dial layout at 3 6 9, and no service.
  5. I would personally choose the Slevin model (if I am correct in thinking this is the white and black version?) I think it is a more subtle look.
  6. Congrats on the purchase! I am too someone who bought a gen after experiencing reps first. Would love to see some pics of the Seamaster!
  7. You can buy a genuine for an AD, or you can get a replica ne from probably the same place as the Steelfish. I would personally recommend a genuine rubber strap, thye look incredible on the Steelfish!
  8. Fine words Nanuq! This is very true. If you find a watch that means alot to you, it will give you fond memories each time you wear it.
  9. Yes the TT version looks stunning! We'll have to arrange a London get together at some point then, I know there are a few people that live fairly close to there.
  10. I have the Breitling Chronomat, and i is a fantastic watch, but the new Costeau is gorgeous, and I am really growing to like IWC's at the moment! Have you seen the ordinary Chrono in the pipeline, that looks quite promising also? When are you planning in coming over to the UK?
  11. I would go for the Cousteau! Congrats again!
  12. Congratulations Dutchy!!! University life is brilliant, bet you're looking forward to it
  13. Thats a very beautiful watch! Nice purchase.
  14. That is truely incredible, remember that face JFreeman!
  15. As CC says. If I am wearing a rep, I don't avoid the AD's like the plague. I do make sure that they don't get it from my wrist, or get a really good look at it. We have reps, they have gens. Flaunting a rep in the gen world is a big no no.
  16. Wow that is some collection. Must be some high flying director of a high flying company haha. Would love to be able to afford such a collection!

  18. Joe a modder on this forum pressure tested one, and it was pretty much indestructable. I have had mine emmersed in water with no problems.
