  1. Depends on your budget. If I were going to buy a fun car to drive it would be a Honda Integra Type R (older DC2 shape), or a Mitsubishi Evo 6 Makinnen Edition.
  2. Sorry to hear about your previous transaction, don't feel isolated in the matter, it has happened to many members before finding this place! Welcome to the board, and enjoy the forum!
  3. Placing consistently, with or without the best car, for someone who is so new to the sport, is a massive achievement. I think he could be worth watching, he has a great career ahead of him. As for as Tim Henman being an embarrassment thats a bit mean. He love his tennis, good for him for sticking it out. He is having a very bad patch at the moment, lets hope he can get some form in Nottingham!
  4. The He valve is actually placed perfectly on these reps. Unlike the normal SMP where the He valve is about 1mm higher than the 10 o'clock position on the Chrono version, it actually sits bang on at 10. As far as the gen's go, I prefer the all white dial of the older version.
  5. Congratulations on your first pam! Once you buy one, you'll buy many more!!
  6. The second generation is in my oponion the better all round watch. I have a first generation, and also a second gen, and with the second gen you get the benefit of a better date font and the newer movement. I doubt you would notice the misalignment, the Navitimer dials are so complex as it is, its not going to be that noticeable. As far as the movement goes, the 7753's are very hard to find, and are very pricey, so I would buy one and have it serviced.
  7. Im still interested in this project too.
  8. As for the chrono pushers, its the same on mine, and as far as I know, the genuine too. Maybe someone whio has experienced a gen could shed some further light on this. As far as winding goes, I sometimes find it hard to keep it in the 'winding' position. I usually give it a little shake, then give it a few turns, then it comes to life. Sometimes takes longer to get going than others.
  9. One of the all time greatest reps, and a bargain at the price you can pick them up for now too!
  10. The Tag Link was one of the first. How about the IWC GST Ti, and the Breitling Seawolf and Avengers, they were also extremely accurate. For me, the watch that started off all of the hype and mention of 'super reps' was the SS Big Bang
  11. No problem at all, exactly the same thing happens on the gen. Its just the way the mechanism works.
  12. Notice how poor the date alignment is on that gen too!
  13. I don't know if you saw my post, but he has just arrived back from Hong Kong. He has had a hard time of late, and yes ok, maybe he should have posted here at some point, but he didn't. I am sure once he has settled back in, you wil get your watches back.
  14. Great collection you have there!
  15. I have just spoken to Finepics, he is back in the country and feeling much better. I am one of those people, who has been waiting months, October 06 in fact. Give him a few more weeks and I am confident that he will be in touch through this board, giving us all a status update.
  16. Ok everyone, hold your horses Give him a few weeks, and I would expect you will see a post from him very soon!
  17. I don't know his home address. If something could be arranged, I would be more than happy to collect any watches and bits from his house and send them off to everyone, I live only an hour or so from London. I would have no responsiblity for any customs etc.....
  18. Looks incredible! Do you mind me asking where you sourced the bezel? Was it an easy replacement to make?
