  1. Watchmaster...nough said...really nice case. The color of the dial, hands, and strap flow very nicely together.
  2. Nice pic man. Beautiful watch.
  3. Came out nice. That's a very interesting front bezel. Never seen a case like that.

    Why mod?

No rep is perfect...the fun part is to try to get it as close to gen as possible.
  5. Very nice job. How do you apply the lume to sausage dial without getting it all over the dial? I would assume this is more harder to do than sandwich.
  6. Congrats on the purchase. Very nice specs.
  7. Nice job on the whole package.
  8. Here's his email: davidsenjpn@yahoo.com Good luck with your project...can't wait to see it all done.
  9. Ok DLC not PVD. Don't be a tease...you know you gotta post more pics right?
  10. That's one of the cleanest PVD I've seen. Very nice. So what's the specs?
  11. yes..DSN sells the 172 ... I just saw it in his sales section. I'd check with him.
  12. Congrats on your project. Looks great.
  13. Beautiful...how you like the strap?
  14. Thnx FGD. Your dials are masterpieces. Pre-V you have an awesome collection man.
  15. Very nice pair man. Loving the strap on both. Do you know how the 1st gen dsn case back (201A) compares to the current?
  16. Very cool TK. Nice comparison. Being that the LH is very close to gen...do you regret getting the gen dial :-) What case is that?
  17. thnx guys. @Toadtorrent - my daughter actually picked it for me - she cracks up with every post I make :-) @ FGD - I finally got a hold of one of your dials. It came with the watch. It was for a 201A. I'm really impressed with it. Very nice work my friend. I'm looking to transplant it into another special case. Cannot wait to complete it so I can have it on my wrist.
  18. Excellent work. Came out super. Great work on the V.
  19. Thnx fellas. Same here Kruzer. A gen is a gen and nothing more. And stays mostly in the box until some special occasion happens, at least for me. But the frankens (even non-frankens), especially the one's you put together yourself, are priceless. I get totally satisfaction wearing these guys knowing you created them the way that you want. This whole thing was a learning excercise for me. The main reason I joined these communities. I've learned so much in the past 4 months :-)
  20. ...sort of... Something I like to share with you guys... So I got a very nice 002 off the sales section a few weeks back. I was lucky enough to find a gen 002 dial for it (thnx Sylar) and gen hands (thnx Serge). Originally I wanted to do a simple transplant but my plans changed. I ended up building a new watch due to me getting a hold of a gen C series case set (tnx BC) And here's the result: Gen everything ... I guess even the movement cause it's gen swiss And here's the other frankens The one on the left is SBRUBB's 111F. Gen dial and hands. The one on the right is what I transplanted into the 002 I bought off the sales section. Gen dial and hands. In a Fu case, etc... It's got hammy 892 movement inside enclosed in a B series caseback. Man this modding stuff is getting too fun. Thanks for looking.
