  1. And wear latex gloves. And try at all cost to not touch the dial. Last thing you want to do is get finger prints all over it.
  2. As chubb said. I just finish a similar project. The biggest pain for me was reinstalling the new dial (w/ feet) and getting those tiny tabs into place. I guess I have really shakey hands or something...oh and make sure you have a blower. Dust is likely to accumulate so it's best to blow away all the dust before recasing it.
  3. Beautiful pics of a beautiful watch. Awesome pics...real pro like.
  4. thnx jkirke, coolfire I will take more pics once I do the transplant. I was able to source gen hands as well...just need to find the time to work on this. But I'm totally content with the way it is now.
  5. Good point. I also wonder if this pam bubble will ever burst. It's definately a hell of alot more $$$ than swatch :-) And to personalize, you buy $500 pieces of leather (not just one mind you). If it does can't wait to see what the next craze will be.
  6. I believe its just standard rep.
  7. Congrats on the pair. That's a killer strap on the 111.
  8. Just ask him for 111 case set with Sapphire (A/R coding). I just order a case set from him and he understands that just fine. And it'll run you 200.
  9. Communication can be an issue. But he's a stand up guy. I've ordered parts from him a few times. Before you contact him, know what you want and just let him know. Once you agree on the model and price he will let you know the payment information. He doesn't take PayPal, only Western Union, Moneygram, Moneybooker, and transfers.
  10. I own a JOA, same watch but without the hammy inside. The case is nice but it has the same CG issues as with all other reps. I had to super glue mine back on cause the screws won't hold. But other than that, beautiful case, with nice AR on the crystal.
  11. The only other sources I know is Alpha and Helenarou which is prob worst than DSN. This should be an interesting thread...would like to know myself.
  12. Have you tried DSN? I just ordered a set from him.
  13. thnx...nice pair. Unbelievable franken on the left. DSN isn't too shabby with his dials and hands.
  14. Very cool. I've strayed off the vintage path...this one just put me right back on it.
  15. If you're looking for closed back 111 and 112 get a 001 or 002 from DSN.
  16. Amazing how much work goes into making these parts. Thanks for the post.
  17. Thnx guys. One of the things that attracts me to pams is the simplicity...and also they are so much fun to mod.
  18. I ran across the same problem a few days ago. Took apart the CG to do a movement swap. Can't get it back on. I don't think it ever fit correctly (even before it was sent from the dealer). Looks like they all used glue to hold it in place. I ended up gluing mine back on.

    DSN Fiddy

I agree. Gunny would look crazy on that thing.
  20. I'd like to share with you my latest acquisition. So I own a few VDBs and Vac watches but all are either unbranded or MM style. No "real" rep until this one Picked it up from a member. Here's the specs (as per seller): Jimmy Fu case, Bezel and crystal gasket AR-less saphire crystal Old Flat lumed dial (relumed by VAC) Amazing Polished SS CG SS Crown Old (heavy and thick) B series Caseback stock ETA movement Tall Cannon Pin Seller did an excellent job on the CG. It's super tight and snaps open and close so beautifully. I currently have it mounted on a MP strap. I have D series case back on order. The B case back will be used for another project I'm working on. I'm also looking to install the following : This modding stuff is addicting Thnx for looking.
  21. Loving the orange. My favorite doxa. Congrats.
  22. Beautiful! I agree..that CG is so clean. Very nice work.
  23. DSN makes some pretty good Cali pams.
  24. Great write up. Thank you....now I'm thirsty :-)
