Thanks for the info... I think I should find a fellow member to fix it otherwise I will sell for parts and buy a new one (luckily no shortages on SSD v2s)

I was sure to be gentle while doing it. If this is the case, what is the remedy? When I pulled out it worked fine, just putting it back in is the problem. The movement is still running but the crown is doing nothing when putting it in or pulling it out

Hi I shaved my CG on my SSD V2 just a few moments ago, and when I try to put the crown back in, I was able to wind the watch but when I tried to set the time it would not budge. I pull the crown out a little further and the crown comes out. After a few minutes of trying to realign it (not forceful) when I put the crown in now it just spins freely! I followed the instructions correctly, but maybe I am doing one step wrong. I hope this is a small fix and I can continue enjoying my SSD V2 Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I did the easiest thing.... ripped out old bezel insert chucked it in the garbage and bought a WM bezel insert with pearl. Installed with glue, no need to shave it down or anything it is perfect out of the box and only costs $25. The pearl looks great an I have the "lip" (not to mention the bulging sapphire hehe)

Whats the difference between them? I have seen lites with 28.8k movements and ceramic bezels, so what is the difference? Is there any advantage at all by getting the ultimate version (other than double AR?) My guess is a lite with single AR will do the job, but maybe I am missing something here... is a lite a less accurate rep?

Clockmakers site (hacko) says case thickness should be 14mm and the sub is 13mm... I knew it didn't look right but if everyone says their ssd v2 is the same I guess its 1:1

Thanks to all for responding. My main question is the thickness of the case... Is it about the same thickness of a submariners case (bezel and caseback included)? I do not have a gen sea dweller to match with but most pics show a much larger case. This is what is bothering me the most!

I just received my SSD V2 from a reputable dealer on our forum. Now it looks a little different from the one on his site. The first thing that bothered me is that the HE valve is a titanium color is this accurate? Also the thickness of the case does not look accurate... it looks like an ordinary Submariner case with a HE valve in it. On the site it says accurate thickness (14.5mm) but I am not sure if this is the case itself, or the bezel and caseback included. I am posting pics for you to look at and please advise if this is correct. For comparison purposes I took side to side shots with my Gen Daytona. Any opinions are greatly appreciated! Also, can you explain the best method for sanding the edges of the oyster bracelet? I have a gen TT daytona, can I assume I can follow the shape of its bracelet to use on my SSD v2? Same to with CG?
