Thanks for the quick response. Is it worth buying and replacing the datewheel, or should I just keep looking for a v3 with correct date font? Is the v2 superior to the v3 in any way that I should consider doing it? Sometimes the new factories mess up some details that the older ones got right.

Hi, I am serious about purchasing a BCE V3 (Graphite) and found a seller. He is not sure which version he has and I asked for a photo of the datefont (as I know this is the biggest upgrade from the v2) Can you please let me know what version we have here? Thanks!!

For the record, I was in the NY Rolex Service Center and I could have got a bezel insert for $52 from them. The catch? I needed to have a gen Sub to do the swap

Thanks for the response. I am staying away from the pre-v but those are more common in the classifieds. The thumbnail/ARD is what I have been looking for with no success. None of the dealers want to ship such a piece and sometimes I just think its better off buying a new rep just to harvest the buckle I would even be interested in buying a rubber strap with the correct buckle, but I can't find anything!

I am in desperate need of a brushed 22mm tang/thumbnail buckle with the panerai engraving. I picked up a DSN 228 recently, and I am not happy with the deployment, and a pre v that was included is too big for my wrist! I bought a "sterile" buckle for the meantime, but I would really love a "panerai" engraved buckle! I have searched the classifieds for 10 days and nothing has popped up! If anyone has one to sell(or a U.S. source) please let me know! I will post many lume shots if you do :) Thnx!

No gen version, but it does look awesome imho. IF a SS ceramic comes out at Basel this year, the rep is pretty much good to go. My opinion is that it wont have the PCLs though (of course a simple mod)

I am trying to mod a newly acquired SSD v2 by shaving the CG's and of course replacing the bezel insert. The insert is not a problem, but shaving the CG's might be a problem for me. I once tried to remove the crown and shave the CGs the conventional way, but I screwed up the keyless works. Is there any other way to do this? I bought a small precision file but I find it too hard to file down the CG's with this. Any help is much appreciated.

Here's the problem I know WM's insert will fit both a sub and SD BUT why can't others inserts fit both a sub and a sd?

Can't find anything on the bay at that price. The "watchoutlet" insert is like $29 WM is $25 so I think ill just stick with them even though its a higher price.
