  1. Anyone know where I can locate a Cartier AD in Cont US?
  2. I agree. His stuff is pretty awesome. Now I just need to find a new set of strap bars for my Santos.
  3. It looks like it's the new 45 PO.
  4. Thanks I know To me, it's very difficult to find a the right straps for these two watches. I'm really excited to see the Blackbard straps work so well.
  5. This is my third time buying custom straps from our very own Blackbard. I have to say that he is an awesome person to work with. His straps are just superb. I use to spending a lot of $$ on watches, but not so much on the straps. Now thinking about it, straps are as important if not more. In fact, it takes more area on your wrist than the watch itself. Here are the two straps I got from him. As for the BCE strap, don't worry I just ordered a gen ss buckle
  6. If you use Panatime, make sure you enter "rwg"as coupon code. You can get 10% discount. As for me, I just order a custom one from our member, blackbard. His are way better than mass produced ones.
  7. Yes, I remembered yours, but it's still super nice seeing it again in your pic! I don't remember, is the sub dial second hand smooth on yours?
  8. That's the cheap kind. I'm thinking about this one http://www.1-pc8838.com/bl02008-bentley-brushed-ssle-white-asia-7750-28800bph-p-2651.html Just click on it twice.
  9. I'm thinking the case maybe good to drop in a gen ETA 7750 movt.
  10. What do you think of this one? It's just introduced on Josh's website. It's bit pricy, but I don't think it need service right out of the box. I like the SS version.
  11. Guys, I've read the wonderful review on it, but it was done in 2007. I'm wondering four years later, is this watch still considered as super rep and a high quality watch. Any thoughts?
  12. Here is one picture. . MMS? What do you mean?
  13. I like the Safari also, but I have been told it's out of stock for a month.
  14. Gray BCE franken with a very nice strap custom made by our very own Blackbard!
  15. I hear you guys! Sunken dw is a killer!!! The caseback on the navitimer is certainly pretty rough.
  16. For me, they are: 1. Damaged / dirty chrome hands. 2. Uneven minute markers on the dial. 3. Loose bezel. 4. Short crown tube. 5. Sharp bracelet (poor finish). 6. Bad / off centered pearl. 7. Uneven crystal install. 8. Watch hands not parallel to the dial. 9. Noisy rotor. 10.Plastic movement holders. What about you?
  17. I have one of the updated Bentley. Not sure how close it is to gen, but the quality seems to be really good. The date wheel on this watch is also very interesting. Whether or not the date font is maroon, I can really careless about. After all, I don't know anyone has a Bentley. The watch is heavy, but wearable. I don't think I would ever put on a SS bracelet. The wheel caseback is interesting, but the standard flat caseback maybe more practical. Don't how close the dial is to gen, but it's nice built and I don't think I would ever replace it with gen (even though I understand it's impossible to do). On mine, the small second hand is bit choppy. I think have the watch serviced will make it smooth. I hope in the mean while the way it is will not damage anything. The crown tube is also short. I wonder if it can be improved or replace with a gen. The bezel is butter smooth right now, I wonder if it gets looser over time. Does anyone know?
  18. Theo, I thought the gap should be tightly filled by the rubber gasket (the black stuff). In my case, the gasket is a little bit thin. @everybody, the other thing I've noticed on this watch is the dial ring is not perfectly centered. As you can see in the picture, there is a gap between the dial ring and bezel at 12 o'clock (this is not a crystal reflection). When I take the movement out, I was able to slightly move it, but it's still not perfect. Just want to point this out.
  19. They shouldn't be shaped like a needle. The rep assemblers did this so they can put the strap on easier. Unfortunately they didn't leave me any threads.
  20. Thanks for trying! Yep. I just tried that yesterday. Same thing as you found, thus i don't think we can change the bezel unless we damage the existing one. Or... wait, maybe if the bezel insert is off, we can expose some secrets. I don't know if I want to try mine yet.
  21. @txcollector, is you bezel tightly pushing down on the rubber gasket? Do you have any side profile pictures? Thanks!
