  1. Wearing this for two days now. It's not perfect, but pretty nice.
  2. Eventually will push me enough to buy a gen. I can almost that day coming.
  3. I may have a BCE screw I can send to you. It's not flat top though, but does fill the hole.
  4. Don't want to become one of those Rollie crazy folks...
  5. Trying to see which on is more accurate rep, v2 or v3 Skyland. v2 has its crystal a tiny bit higher that the rim so the bezel tabs are on top of the crystal whereas the crystal is tiny bit lower than the rim on the v3. Maybe I'm going nuts over these...
  6. That makes sense. Thanks! Suppose, the bezel tabs are "sliding" on the rim.
  7. Guys, Could you please tell me on your gen Skyland, does the crystal go under the rim or slightly above it? Thanks!
  8. Actually, I just looked at the watch again, I think maybe it's the dial. The markers just don't line up with the markers on the bezel insert, especially at 6 o'clock. Is it worthy of buying for the price? Yes, considering it comes with ocean racer strap.
  9. I have had my SOH chrono v2 for 3 days now. Wearing it for about just a day. These are my observations and comparisons with my SOH v2. The issues: 1. The bezel insert maker at 6 (especially) is tilted. 2. The sapphire crystal is not evenly press onto the case. 3. The logo B is too close to Breitling text on the dial. This is a known issue. Can we fix all these issues? We would need to source a better bezel insert, a gen dial, which I have no idea where to find. The crystal is not installed correctly, I think it's an individual flaw because on the two SOH v2 I have, only one also has this problem. I have to say the bezel insert with tilted marker is pretty annoying to me. The positives: 1. The AR coating is nice. Nicer than SOH v2. 2. The lume dots on the dial is more like gen. Nice and centered. 3. The case has good finish feel. 4. The OR buckle is very nice. In my opinion: This watch can be a good base to be modded on if the parts are available. Maybe it's just me, but I don't like seeing brand new watch with uneven crystal issue. It cheapens the watch. Between this and SOH v2, although the SOHC has better finish, I think the SOH v2 is a better base overall for any modification work (except gen dw for SOH, which is hard to find). The SOH v2 also wears better on the wrist as well. Unfortunately it's no longer available anymore.
  10. Thanks for the pics Mike! If you were me, would you take the movement out and pop the crystal a little with crystal press from underneath? Frankly, I'm afraid to break the crystal.
  11. Does anyone know on the gen SOH or SOHC the crystal is above the outer rim or flush with the outer rim or just under the rim?
  12. Thanks Mike! Will wear it today on a gen leather band. The ocean racer came with the watch is nice but not really my style. I will probably use the mesh bracelet once I get the crystal fixed.
  13. @Alleyoop, I bought mine from another member. They are hard to find with good prices. Very beautiful, but the downside is it makes you don't want to use it to make it less new @Krpster, I'm thinking of gen hands and gen dw, maybe gen dial. I agree they are very hard to find, but I remain optimistic. We'll see, I will let you know.
  14. Guys, I need some serious help! Do the crystals on SOH and SOH chrono installed to the cases with gaskets or not? The issue on my watch is the crystal is not evenly pressed on all the way around. If I can get a crystal press, what do I need to do to fix this problem? Do I need to completely pop the crystal out and then try to install it again to fix the problem or? If the gasket is used, do I need replacement gasket handy when I do this job? I'm totally lost. Thanks for your help!
  15. For now, it's my SOH. That is because I just got my SOHC yesterday and hesitate to used my brand new gen breitling mesh band. Everything on the SOHC is perfect except the crystal seems not installed perfectly. One side is slightly lower than the edge. Is it correctable with crystal reinstall? Do you know?
  16. I think I'm going crazy with this watch style. I think with proper gen parts, the SOH makes great franken. The head without the strap is a project.
  17. Thanks for the tip! I like the fact it's so random, but knowing I can make precision framing is awesome! Maybe we should make a watch gallery with this software.
  18. Only way you can get a SOH v2 is here, from another member. There were two of them for sale lately, but don't expect they come on sale often. I just ordered a SOH chrono v2 from Josh, will be here any day now. I will post some comparison photos once I get it.
  19. Does the rotor spins many cycles each time you shake the watch or just one or two cycles?
  20. I see. Since the rotor spins freely, I'm out of any other ideas, other than having your watch serviced. Good luck with that!
  21. I bought a Ulysee Nardin chrono with A7750 that had the same problem. I just fixed it today. On mine the cause of the problem was the rotor not rotating freely. In other word, my watch had never been fully charged. When you try to charge your watch, do you feel the rotor spinning? If not, you may have the same problem as me. The fix is removing the rotor by unscrewing the center screw and either servicing the rotor or replacing it with a new one. A new rotor can be bought for $50 shipped on the bay. Good luck!
