  1. Nice review bro. It's funny how all the new fonts Breitling have chosen are kind.. of "80's sci-fi movie" !
  2. Last try on my favourite forum! Surely one of you guys must have purchased a Rose Gold Rolex rep at some point? Thinking about buying a rep of one of these, just wanting to know on the 'colour' accuracy of the 'Everose' and the expected durability of the piece, I realise the inside of the bracelet will wear, but how quickly should I expect? Kindest regards! A
  3. it'd be great actually to see some 'set up' shots for these images and how you achieve photography like this just to teach the rest of us how to get such clarity in our images
  4. I wish I could photograph like hike and TX :> This today
  5. Ridiculously amazing photography, to an exacting professional standard. I am VERY impressed! Please tell me you do that for a living!
  6. Hehe, Teej. This subject is one of your favourite to discuss isn't it? Theres a million variations of people and attitudes around reps/gens. The craziest thing I've read on a gen forum recently is: "People who buy fakes won't ever buy the real thing anyway", given the amount of gens between us lot I think that says enough on its own! I think for our community; owning reps is either aspirational and admirational for certain watch models & great designs. Or simply a try before you (in the future if I get enough spare cash) buy!
  7. Small bump, no one ever seen one of these??
  8. Hey guys, Havn't posted for a while but now that I've settled into my new job a little more I'll be back around again! Happily.. for anyone who knew me when I was first around.. Hi! And so I return with a question! Has anyone bought any of the Everose Rolex reps? If so, are they accurate to colour at all? I know its a very unique sheen that it has and I'd love to get a rep of this model: http://www.rolex.com/en#/rolex-watches/day-date/day-date-36mm-everose-gold-118205__a_pink__83205 Let me know if anyone has any pics or comments on colour accuracy! Thanks
  9. For those of you in London, they have one in the window at Omega in Westfield. I asked about it, its priced at about
  10. Apologies to US readers who will have no idea what this post is about.. TJ that so reminded me of "Only Fools & Horses" when Trigger gets given an award for using the same broom for 20 years.. Trigger: "This old broom has had 14 new 'andles, and 17 new 'eads.." Del: "How the hell is it the same bloody broom then?"
  11. Hmm, Did I not explain this well?? I have already purchased one and the images were a result of my using it!
  12. Hey L, thanks for replying! Been a while bro! The issue with this macro 'extender' is that it only actually focus' like a inch away (or less???) from the object.. lol
  13. Have been experimenting with a couple of things for my camera. I have a 50D with a 18-200.. and I wanted to experiment with one of these 'scammy' looking chinese Wide angle/Macro 'extender' screw on things.. Like this.. I found that the closest I could get with my 18-200 was around this range.. However with the macro extender I'm able to get closer, I dont think theres much image degradation when used properly.. However, if I zoom to 200 with the macro extender on then at times it can focus but produces odd results Before, I had experimented with using a camera phone & a loupe for macro shots which wielded some also interesting results!
  14. Hey BT! Congrats! Really, really nice, the rep just didnt have the same textured sheen to the dial. This is a stunning piece in person.. I remember RobbieG was a big fan of this dial and famously promoted it Off topic, I notice some slight jpeg artifacting, anything stopping you from using .png?
  15. To reiterate as above, it's really great to read a review about ladies models. Thankyou for sharing with us. Sometimes the simplest models get the fewest attention. I'm surpised about the lack of Day-Dates on the forum for example. My gf and I looked at these in gen not too long ago, the bracelet on the gen didn't really seem to have much quality to me, it felt cheap! Then again I'm spoiled by my GMT2C's bracelets weight and feel. These really do look as good as the gen from your guys pictures. The disappointment with the gen was that it was only rated to 50m water resistance which apparently isnt enough for a swim. I always wondered if Rep MOP compares to gen? In my mind rep MOP would always look kinda cheesey, or are they actually the same? I wonder if they'll make a good rep of the ladies aquaracer, now that was a beautiful watch with a weighty bracelet and a wonderful (dare I say breitlingesque) case shape.
  16. Thanks for the links Mickey, I really want leather instead of Rubber so OR is a no go for me, shame that strap is brown also! Should have taken advantage of when my GF worked at an AD !! :<
  17. Funny mickey, I also never wear my Yellow Seawolf anymore. It's the rubber for me.. its uncomfortable, hot, and doesnt wrap around the wrist properly. I need to source a gen leather or something without paying
  18. Beautiful watch and thanks for the pics! I'm interested though. I have an LV on the way and Im also interested in gettin a gen insert. The problem with that is if you want a perfect LV replica it has to match up to one of the particular versions of the LV. There were a number of different 'marks' made with very subtle differences. Check this link here: LV differences I'm guessing that you have gotten lucky with your insert and that infact your submariner now replicates a 'Mark 6' Z-Serial LV... Unless anyone can see differently? I dont have the best eyes for this type of thing compared to some of you guys!
  19. I work as a nightclub photographer, and I see a whole lot of fake Rolex on peoples wrists everynight that Im photographing. For some reason... This picture just makes me want a White daytona. I always really liked it but thought nothing of it really since its kinda what all men default to when they have decided they have 'achieved' in life... This girl didnt wear it with much class truth be told (actually, she reminds me of Cheryl Cole), sleeves rolled up purposely. Made it seem like she was wearing her boyfriends watch, but girls do rock a daytona pretty well. Shame it costs
  20. This today.. After trying on a PAM 111 in Harrods recently I think it's time to part with my Seawolf and pick one up. Seawolf gets no wrist time these days (The rubber is annoying for daily wear, need gen leather I think if I'm going to keep it!) Theres just too many different versions though! I just want the good one Actually.. Who am I kidding, awaiting my LV from BK really..
  21. b16, the gmt2c was everything I hoped it would be and is everything I could want in a watch. I feel like my journey to find the best one ended quickly. I still look at my watch and it gives me the same feeling I had the day I picked it up. It is the truely best looking watch to my eye that Ive ever seen. It seems it was truely my grail! I got very lucky. I bought a Canon 50D but havn't really done much watch photograpyh with it as i stopped purchasing reps and have just stuck with what I've got. As a result my activity on this board has dropped unfortunately, but since you asked. I figured I'd take a quick shot: Nice to speak again bro!
  22. Im interested b16, how does your collection stand today? What happened to the UN etc?
  23. Reps are often used in film and TV but.. with the end links sticking out and it looking so terrible I'm surprised they even showed it. I'm sure they took into consideration the full brand name is consealed by the minute hand just incase they ever got pulled up on this! It's worth noting also that 'modest' Ricky Butcher wears a gen white faced Daytona. Doesn't quite fit with the character but I believe its his personal posession!
  24. "Phil Mitchells" Submariner.. yuk! I know this wont even mean anything to the US members here so.. sorry guys!
  25. Not posted in forever, don't really wear my reps these days.. a shame..
