  1. Thanks for your thoughts browngo1. The bracelet on my UN maxie had basically the same Issues as your SW. I used a low grade paper to smooth the edges down then soaked It over night In mineral oil. The bracelet Is now perfect. I also agree that the OR strap will look awesome on this watch. Thats a great looking piece you have there,I wish you many years of enjoyment with your beautiful yellow SW Mike
  2. I feel that It looks better on the ss but the look of this watch dosent say "Breitling" to my eye. I think Brietling has made some of the worlds most beautiful timepieces. When I first saw this model I was like "what the fock"???? what were they thinking. Not a good design as far as Im concerned,It seems that most here feel this way,no surprise really
  3. So browngo1 what Is your opinion/impression of your new Breitling Seawolf?
  4. The yellow SW Is bad to the bone, dam I love this rep, congratz
  5. I agree,great first post,well done welcome to RWG Ploprof_man
  6. That Is one fine looking Hublot Deniz. I did not like the looks of the Hublot when I first saw them, but now I really like them a lot. I have a cheep quarts BB that looks great but I dont wear It much because of the movement. Good to have you back Deniz Mike
  7. +1 Stick with the trusted dealers here at RWG
  8. The Timewalker chrono 50th Anniversary that came out a few months ago Is a 1.1 copy that looks really good. The only question Is, can you deal with the sunkin dw? It dosent look to bad but It Is what It Is,nice rep reguardless.,good luck
  9. I dont know how I missed those pics The watch looks very Impressive on your wrist, looks expensive,I like that The more I see this watch the more i want one, thanks again for the outstanding review, should be a sticky,By-Tor?
  10. Beautiful PO,to bad about the non functioning bezel. I know that the watch looks gen but It would drive me crazy not to be able to turn the bezel. I dont really use my chronos but If there not working properly It bugs the [censored] out of me. Reguardless, your PO project is outstanding
  11. The rule of thumb for me Is,cape Cod for polished ss and Scotch brite pad for brushed ss. The clasp on my Omega PO was a mess, several deep scratches. I did some research and the Scotch brite pad was suggested for brushed ss. Well It worked very well, the clasp looks new again. Just remember to go In the direction of the grain. Keep the pad a little damp,It's easier to work with when a little wet.
  12. I usally wait between six months and a year before I have a watch serviced. If It's running well I can wait a while. If I decide that the watch Is something I would like to keep for years to come, than I have It serviced. If I have a watch that I really dont like that much then I will probabbly sell/trade It. So far this strategy has worked out well. As far as servicing your own movements all I can say Is "spend some time In the movement/repair area". There Is some of the very best Infomation available here that you will unlikely find anywhere else. Members like the Zigmeister and Francisco are absolutely brillant watchmakers. There are also other members that have termendous knowledge. Within a short period of time you will have the knowledge/Infomation you need to really enjoy this fantastic hobby, good luck Mike
  13. Nicola Is a very fortunate young lady as to have a person like you In her life. My prayers and loving thoughts go out to Nicola and family, best wishes TeeJay Mike
  14. The very first thing I do when I recieve a watch rep/gen Is check all of the screws, very Important.I also check them periodically thereafter. For some extra Insurance "loctite" dosent hurt, nice reminder JKay
  15. Thats good news indeed deniz
  16. When I firt arrived here I was buying a rep ever 4-6 weeks. But now I have learned to pace myself. I now like to wait at least 4 months between purchaces. The watch bug can be a nasty MF. Now Im concentrating on servicing my movements and working on my strap collection. It's a great hobby, there Is always something you can buy, work on, trade with other members, a lot of fun Mike (ps) Pam 250 Is what got me hooked, love those Pams
  17. Beautiful watch,Im a bracelet man myself but It still looks very nice on the leather, enjoy
  18. First watch on the moon, whats not to like. I really like your moonie, thanks for sharing
  19. I feel that the mesh bracelet does the watch a diservice, just dosent look right compared to the gen. Maybe they will make a mesh that can be "reasonably" compared to a gen. I dont think you can even size the the rep mesh.
  20. How well does that device In your avatar work?, looks like It could be quite useful
  21. Welcome to RWG Jesus, nice to have you here
  22. Congratz, one of the best reps out there Imho
