  1. I agree, to rotate/rock would be best. I like the Brandy Snifter method
  2. It's best to gently shake are reps to wind them, Inferior parts and all. But this has nothing to do with your problems. A few winds of the crown here and there should not be a problem, just dont make a habit of It.
  3. Well Gerald you have finally had some good luck, you did not send the Skyland back yet. Now the only thing you have to do Is send both back together. Again Im sorry about your bad luck.
  4. Gerald are you winding the watch by the crown or are you shaking the watch to wind It? I dont think this will make any difference atm but It could have a long term effect. Mike
  5. It's a brand new rep, I think he should send It back. What do others think?
  6. Thank you so much Francisco, this Is going to help a lot of people
  7. Well Gran they can make a strap for any watch that you like, as long as they have the lug size. Most Pams for example are 24mm lug width. Also make sure that the watch Is long enough, most strap sites have sizing charts, I know Panatime does. They match up your wrist size, for example I have a 7 1/2 In wrist. Take a string and wrap It around your wrist and mark It off. Then measure the length of the string. Hornbacks are not cheep, I would say a good quailty hornback will run you around $125-150, probably more. The nicest buckle I have every seen Is @ Heroic 18, It has a submarine carved out of the buckle. I think they around $55.00. But they are the baddest ass buckles that you will ever see Imho.
  8. I think Im going to leave RWG and have them cancel my membership. Than I can return as member 25000 Thanks Hike
  9. The best advice I can give Is "the more research you do the better your chances that you will be happy with your purchase". RWG has some of the best Infomation and well writen reviews available. So take your time and take advantage of the wealth of Infomation here, good luck and dont be afraid to ask questions. Mike
  10. I dont know what to say but DAM!!! Nice dosent sound nice when It comes to being rep friendly Thanks for sharing your beauties and story
  11. Good post Gran, Pams and breitlings got me Into straps. I guess that holds true for most of us here. If you liked the rep straps than these high quailty straps are going to blow your fu*&ing mind. I wont even look at a rep strap anymore. I dont mean to sound like a snob but??? you will see soon enough. Heroic 18 and Strap culture are also very good. Panatime also has some nice straps at very good prices. Mike

  16. Congratz on finding someone to work on your watches. Having someone competent to work on are reps makes this hobby so much more enjoyable. But to find someone who can service are reps, well thats little more difficult to come by, but It Is possable. Im sure that you will find someone soon. Mike
