  1. R to the rescue again, your input is always appreciated. Where to find a thicker gasket? I have very little experience in doing this things. Also, how much will water-resistance be affceted? Sine the bezel is not "pressing" on the crystal. Thanks again R, cheers Mike
  2. So I have been "fiddling" with chaning bezel on my daytona to one that is not as "steep" as the stock one. Problem I am having with this is that the bezel is a tad to large and does not hold the crystal in place, it snaps on to the case pretty well but the only thing holding the crystal in place is the retaining ring. So is there anyway to secure the crystal? Or should I just go on with life and change back to the old bexel? What say you? (Crystal is a tad high I must admit, and the bezel is not quite pressed on all the way in the last pic) Thanks in advance for your advice gents! // Mike
  3. So simple and so effective.... Thanks TT // Mike

  6. + 1 on modelizers comment! We here in sweden are very tied up with the traditional celebration of midsummer. @ Andy, who was the swedish member that suggested this? Cheers Micke

  9. Super nice watch you have there, a portu that will last a liftime (Allthough your dial is not genuine, its a rep) Cheers Mike
  10. Watchmeister, it was intented sa a joke, but I guess you got that. What I know from talking to R on here he is as good as they come, a truly good person
  11. You must have some real "dirt" on R that made him sell you that one. It is nothing short of stunning. And a true grail watch for many!
  12. Damn, well it was in line with what I expected then, as I have not read or found any despite a thourough search. Will maybe have to settle with the ones I currently have, they might do the trick after some fiddling. As always, thanks for you input freddy... // Mike
  13. So, I am on the hunt for a pair of good 571 end links for a DW case, anyone *cough*freddy333*cough* have a source for good proper fitting ones? Thanks in advance Mike

  15. Well, many of us bought some stuff from member Asim sometime around a year ago, well many of us did not recieve anything. So, after some attempts of getting the members money back I wrote off the debth as I never thought Id see the money or the bought product ever again. But not too long ago I saw Double T posting that Asim had started to speak again and wanted to settle oustanding issues. After sending Double T a PM with the info I decided to send Asim an e-mail, I was very clear that I had no intention with that e-mail to attempt to get my money back, I just wanted to give him credit for wanting to make things right even after so long time had passed. In my book its takes a lot of guts and characther to stand up to your actions (Even if a lot of time has passed) like Asim is doing right now. It shows more then a little characther. The "easy way" would have been to just move on and forgott about the issue for him. Well, Asim replied to my e-mail almost instantly saying that he felt very bad for not honouring his obligations and that he would make everything right again with all the invovled people. And almost in no time I got another mail from PP with the money I payed in return. I sent him a thanks and once again said once that my purpose with sending the e-mail was not mainly gettin back my money back, upon wich he replied that "actions speaks louder then words" So, in my book Asim is a great guy, sure he has brought a lot of frustration and anger amongst some fora-members, but the way he stands up to his outstanding issues now shows true character and that is not at all the character of a scammer! I wish Asim all the best and hope he can return to the fora again. Over and out // One happy swede
  16. Unfortunately the Zigimeister is on a "leave" as of now. Your best bet is to take contact with Rex or Vaccum on Repgeek if you are in US.. Im located in EU so I dont know the US watchmakers that well. Maybe someone else here can help you. Good luck!
  17. David, there are a couple of very good watchmakers here. Where are you located?
  18. So most of us know that its not a good idea to handwind your 7750 movement, but with the popularity in the DW daytonas etc increasing I think this is a legitimate question. Most of the people that builds their DW Daytonas use the 7750 movement and remove the Rotor and the autowinding parts, does this eliminate the problem? Cheers Mike
  19. He (DW) is building case and dials for both 7734 and 7750 movement, dials will take a couple of weeks. I
  20. For better pictures of the PloProf, chec honts site : Hontwatch.com Note that he is not a trusted dealer here... (On RWI though)
  21. Great job there Alvin, that datewheel looks stunning...Not even the slightest recess. Takas AR looks amazing as well...
  22. Damn! Case too thin and the movement does not line up with the stem in the new case.... Anyone got a lowprofile A7750 case to spare? Fun experience non the less !
  23. Thanks Chief, Cheers Ubi -> I am always amazed by your helpfullness!! Much apreciateed. Allthough there pushers did not have any slot for a screwdriver. I am in the process of trying to fit the A7750 in a thinner case here....Learning experience!
  24. Thanks Freddy, read again and you gave me the answer!!
