  1. Cheers Andy, I guessed you would jump in on this question. Again damn, the only thing that lead me to believe it would not be the reversing wheel is that the rotor does not spin while manually winding the movement... Beein partially disabled as of now LOL and not having any oils at home I guess this baby will be put in the box untill I saw up some cash for a service. Thanks a lot for you answers, its truly appreciated.
  2. Thanks for the answer K, but thoose were the words I was hoping not to hear. I am to unfamiliar with the autowinding mechanisms and a service is absolutely not alowed in my budget... Mike
  3. Fellow enthusiasts, I have a 2824 movement that charges poorly via the rotor, when manually wound it gets a good power reserve though. So, off with the case back, and check if anything is obviously wrong, remove the rotor and check the "bearings" (Sorry I am not familiar with the english word, I only know it in swedish). Everything looks ok with that. So I put the rotor back on, check with a loupe while I "manually" turn the rotor. So I turn it to the right, ok, face down crown on the left side, then I start turning the rotor to the left (still face down, crown on left side) after turning it a few rounds I release it and it starts spinning to the right with force. So, what is the problem? What say you? Thankfull for any insights you may have, Mike
  4. @ Blix, PM me your adress and I will send you some links from a 4th gen Planet Ocean bracelet (Maybe a whole bracelet sans clasp, I dont remember but I have a lot of links anyway) I will not have any time to send them out before the weekend though, so youll have to be a little patient. Cheers Mike
  5. Damn, that watch looks so authentic on the front! They did a nice job on the back and it surely looks good allthough its nothing like the gen. Wear it well! Mike

  12. Interesting, it will be fun to see your pictures Andy! You are rapidy becoming a good watchmaker =)
  13. No, LOL, all parts were purchased new. You only had the rep hands left when I asked you, but all the other parts you sent me are fitted to another Omega PO, and that was not a straight fit but a nice way to learn =)
  14. Its a straight fit with no mods required, I re-used the rep gasket as I forgott to add the gen gasket to the order. Hope this helps, Mike

  17. My dad has a 1965 flatfloor coupe Jaguar E-type lightweight (Full aluminum incl the motor parts) bought in the 1980´s and the return on that investment is extremely good.... LOL... Come to think of it my fathers car collection has been his best (economical) investment in terms of return of investment! Forgot to add something on topic: I do admire that daytona, a lot, but how much higher can prices get? Will my generation (Im 27) have the same admiration amd passion for the same vintage pieces as the "older" generations?
  18. Aha, very nice solution there looks good actually! Btw, I love that CP mod you have done, looks very good! Mike
  19. I know a swedish guy called "Klockis" got one of the later released CN 15300´s, I think he even posted some pics of it here. I am curioes, how did you mod the bezel slots? Looks goood!! Cheers Mike
