Ok, to update on this... Mary has informed me that the factory have stopped making the case sets for the v2 now - I think the fact it was a slow seller (for some bizarre reason!) have killed it off So unless you get lucky and a dealer is holding stocks (probably unlike unless you're a wholesaler like Robert, and even he is not selling any as he does not now how many in stock are allocated to wholesale buyers) you will probably not be able to get hold of one! Andrew, Hont and Mary have all tried for me and all have come back negative

I would have thought they would fare better with regards to business confidence in the country, and probably with exchange rates as well, as if the Euro falls against major currencies like the USD, I can only see it doing the same against other currencies. Overall I think any system that tries to govern multiple previously separate economies with a currency that was fixed at one exchange rate upon entry, and has one main interest rate for all regardless of whether they're in a recession or growth situation, can only be bound to have major problems in the long term. And yes, I'm a euro sceptic lol

I'd be tempted by the 21j Datejust II Rolexes that are around $138 as they're pretty nice, especially the Black Mother of Pearl dial Or I think I'd be tempted to add perhaps $50 to that credit and splash out on a Sinn for around $218 + postage. The U1 is pretty much a Super-rep IMO - near as dammit perfect, and gen parts fit! You can later get a gen strap for under $100 (I think?) and a Bezel is about $175 if my memory serves me correctly. The U-Black is also coming out at the end of June from what I hear so you may want to wait for tht one!

This is the mentality of Gen owners IMHO - except that you can replace the word 'poser' with something more derogatory, and 'certain kind of' with 'fake'.

There are some great sterile GMTs on ebay - I've got the white and black face versions and I really like the size and the fact they just sort of disappear on the wrist, you don't even feel like you're wearing one! I can entirely see why they sell well, they just seem 'right', but I agree that the name works both for and against it.

Well, mine have arrived and I'm very pleased with them, thank you! The little one fits my B&R strap bars perfectly, and the medium sized one holds my spare links from my straps! I've not really got many spare parts at the moment but these are great as the slide tops fit snug to the plastic dividers, so your parts won't get mixed up if the box gets shaken around, and they require a firm push to get them open as they are so secure, so the lids aren't going to fall off They're perfect really, and I can't believe you would find better for the money unless you were spending out more on dedicated stuff! Not only that but they are delivered to your door, what more could you want?!
