The greyish look is more that they have used a thin layer of white paint before applying the print. I have a date wheel from a 1:1sd 16600 with a very crisp white background in my tc sub and the difference is night and day.
You can specify one on a service if you like so yes it can.
Bracelets are going for stupid money these days!! Im going to have a word with my local dealer who I have bought a few Rolex over the years for a price.
Actually you see less of this metal with a gen bezel fitted as it is slightly wider and even more gen like. Gen does have a slightly deeper rehaut but only slight.
I thought the crown was ok until I received my new 703 crown and the difference is bigger then I remember! The gen has a much slimmer profile and flatter where the crown is stamped. Long term you need to change for sure.
Jmb could be a good option. I'm trying to get you some more info. I have a gen crystal but it has a little chip on the edge that fits to the gasket. It may not form a waterproof seal.
The assembly of the seadweller is nothing like a sub. Looking closely at the pics it is not complete. the gasket on an sd is clamped between the retaining ring and the detachable rehaut ring. This is one of the reasons why the wm9 project stalled! George had great trouble assembling this part and that made bk very nervous.
This is an original crystal with no s.
I'm happy with a 2824 inside and It is running well within cosc standards. Crown height is perfect inside tc's movement holder.
Looking at your pics it does have the retaining ring but the rehaut assembly is missing. The rehaut is not built into the case on a seadweller and that part may be almost impossible to source!
The hand is actually better than the TC hand and matches the dial for lume with Tc's slightly less but only slightly. Only problem is that the green tint never goes in full daylight so it does not match the crisp white uncharged lume of the dial and TC hand. Thanks fo rthe compliments guys, I really enjoy my frankens but never keep them for long!!!!!
