  1. The detailing indeed looks very good in yours.!! Looking forward to this one very much.
  2. If anyone has any doubts about maciek then let me say he is one of the old school rep members and a gentleman too!! And will endeavour to deliver what he promises!! Your efforts are much appreciated my friend! I too looked at the clone website which looked good so we will see what happens with the other guy who has ordered!
  3. You might be right. I went from the images and did not read all the text on this one.
  4. I have both the steel bezel and rubber bezel silver/white dial with grey subs models and the numbers have very good lume actually. What model do you have?
  5. I would say this is an overpolished gen case. Even the Viet cases are not quite this good. Might have a bid on this baby!
  6. Absolutely gen. Nothing about this watch says rep
  7. Great comparison! The big tell for me is the lug width being much wider on the rep case and less tapered from the center to the edge. The MBW's are very good but this is one area where the Vietnam cases stand out on accuracy and help to justify the greater cost.(to me anyway ) Great pics!
  8. Today I decided to ring customs to find out the story of my parcel and was told that there is a special excersize currently going on with China pakages where they are being inspected more closely than normal. A different department is doing this and I now have to wait for them to contact me about it. I still don't know if it has been opened or not!! She did ask me if it contained tobacco products to which I replied 'very unlikely'.
  9. I use Royal Mail 'international signed for' service. Have sent 3 Rolex and a Seamaster in the last 2 months without issue. I think insurance can be bought upto 2500 pounds. Approx cost is between 8 pounds and 25 depending on compensation level. Takes 3 days max to arrive.
  10. I've recieved more watches over the last 10 years than I care to remember and this is far from normal practise in the UK. Parcelforce have confirmed already that it is seized so it is beyond normal procedure for it to simply be going through the various stages of delivery. I hope I'm wrong and the order of play has changed but I'm sure this next few days will produce an answer. Fingers crossed!
  11. Still here! I will not hear anything now until next week Nikos. My AP conversion kit arrives Monday too(AP were very quick and shippped the same day with Fedex!)!! plus a Rubber strap is on it's way from Angus which I forgot to order when I bought the watch. Angus says it would be the first package to be seized here!! and has offered to send a replacement which is very good of him because this sort of probelm is neither parties problem really if packaged and described ok. Will keep you all posted.
  12. 02-07-2008 16:47 International Hub Delivered to HM Customs 02-07-2008 16:47 International Hub En route to delivery depot 30-06-2008 21:18 International Hub AWAITING CUSTOMS CHARGING 30-06-2008 21:18 International Hub Arrived in destination country 30-06-2008 07:51 Heathrow Airport Arrived at destination country 27-06-2008 22:00 Delivery Agent - GUANGZHOU - PTT Left origin country 26-06-2008 14:02 Delivery Agent - CHINA Collected from customer This is the tracking info so far. This is what made me ring and find out where it was. It was then that the PForce girl said her screen stated it had been seized.
  13. Unfortunately it was not the right answer!! Parcelforce have informed me on the phone that the AP has been seized and to contact the HM Customs! Not sure what steps to take next! It could not have happened to a worse watch. I so wanted the new Offshore!!
  14. Ordered my offshore from Angus but it was 'awaiting customs charging'. Today I look on the parcelforce tracking and it says delivered!! Which is confusing as it clearly had not been. Upon asking for detailed info it stated that delivery was made to hM customs!! I think I may have a problem!! Any ideas guys?
  15. Cannot be done without removing transfer gears because they are fitted over the DW to create the same config as a 7753. I did once on a 187 but had to remove the gears first as I preferred the DW correct over a working chrono.
  16. It is a sad day indeed for TRC. I spent many years on there and nowhere will ever be as good. Farewell my friend
  17. Best rep yet for me. I too have ordered that particular model. My wrist is marginally smaller but it does look vrey good on you and I would not call you out if I bumped into you wearing it!
  18. Received my CG today and cannot fault the finish. Great work V!!! Thanks
  19. I think we will need a special Frankenwatch section soon!! Good work t!
  20. Gen SMP does have single internal AR.
  21. This is still the most impressive watch I have owned! Panerai PAM 168 Regatta no. 153/399 from 2003. The blend of Steel and Titanium is beautiful and really suited the smaller case size. I regret selling this more than any other watch I've owned!
  22. The Watchmaker 9 example is a TW best DD and will last longer than any of Josh's reps but that said it is overpriced. River and Eddie used to sell the best quality TW's for around $400 to give you an idea.
  23. The watch head to me looks very good indeed. The rehaut looks good. You can see it has a some thickness to it on the side profile shots. Engraving looks pretty crisp. Overall very smart. The biggest flaw to me is as always the dreadful end links!! They look like humpbacks on these pictures and not very well cut at all! That will stop me from a purchase for now. As to the colour of the bezel numbers, I think the photo lighting does nothing for these and creates a transulescent effect as on the gen model. I think they will look better in the flesh. Just my thoughts
  24. My local AD does the servicing in house using a qualified Rolex technician. I had to find my bill but I had my Sub serviced in 2006 and it cost 175 pounds including the bracelet refinishing and the case polished only where it should be. He also told me that some people in the trade were no happy with the refinshing work from Rolex BexleyUK and standards have certainly slipped there.
  25. I wonder if the 93160 is more expensive than the 93250 Sub bracelet. My AD charged me 590.00 pounds for a complete 93250 band.
