Start of the week just got better today with the arrival of my gen crystal for my UPO. Fitted and looking sexy!

Well the crystal is here and fitted!!!!!!!!!!!!Wow it is [censored]ing gorgeous!!! It is the exact dimensions of the rep upo crystal but way better clarity regardless of the AR coating. It pushed straight in with no problem whatsoever. The result is breathtaking in my opinion and has transformed this watch now. Maybe this topic should be pinned!

I think the actual moral of the story is, don't let someone who appears to have no idea what he's doing mess with your watch. I agrree though that you can go too far hence my decision to only change the crystal. It will always be a rep whatever is done to it and never worth the sum of it's gen parts. My logo is slightly off true but I'm not going to mess with it. I won't be doing anything dumb like walking into a dealer and trying to fool them so I don't really care that much if it fails very close inspection. It will pass the wrist test when the double AR sparkles at them!

This crystal is getting pricey! Customs have just charged me 30 pounds duty putting the cost to 125 pounds now!! Delivered tomorrow and I will get it fitted asap for you guys to see!

My logo is slightly out of true also and I may decide to remove it and refit. I will see how bad it looks when I fit the gen crystal.

It's arrived in the UK but is awaiting customs charging!!!! I guess I will be taxed on the value of $198......what a bummer!!

I had contact with him yesterday about a new order but the last response I sent to him was returned undelivered. don't worry too much, he will reply soon.

It left San Fransisco at 4.30 this morning so should be with me monday!

I have just looked on Cousins website for a price for a vJ7750 to fit in my 21600bph 3717 pilot's watch and got a shock! They have nearly doubled the price overnight. They now want nearly 350quid for a loose pack example. I wish I had looked before ordering the watch from Trusty!!! I would'nt have bothered I don't think!!

My crystal shipped today from US to UK so there is a slight chance of delivery before the weekend on Global priority service. Can't wait and will update with pics as soon as possible guys! I decided having read Carlsbadrolex's experiences to just swap out the crystal and leave the dial and movement as is. I do this myself so don't have top rely on a watchmaker.

Any pics Carlsbadrolex?? Ofrei have not shipped my crytsal yet so it will be after the wekend now. I received my asia eta UPO from Andrew yesterday and apart from a little smooting of some edges it is running great. Got the orange for a change and love the attention it gets. THe AR is crap though and shouts fake from a mile away. Great value though at $128.00!! Paid more for the crystal!

As a soon to be owner of Trusty's asia copy UPO I intend swapping out the movement, dial, hands and crystal to genuine Omega. I was curious having read The Zigmeister's praise of the accuracy on this asia movement as to whether you could swap over such things as the date wheel and hands from asia to swiss. Have they copied the exact dimensions of the works involved in the date wheel fitting I wonder. The hands are not the end of the world but the date wheel would save me finding another as Cousins don't seem to list white on black wheels for anything other than the 7750.

I had an early top grade 007 model as discussed which came from 'JackieChen' (of which some early guys will remember but long before this forum came top life) at a cost of over $500 which was an awful lot 4 years ago! This watch had a verified eta 2892-a2 inside and was as good in quality to the real deal. I wish I still had it! I think they did vary as time went on. A shame!

Only thing that may dissapoint you is the lume on the hands. You have changed the dial to genuine which has incredible lume but the hands will have the poorer rep lume and may stand out quite badly. It will be interesting to get your view on that point. I really hope the crystal is correct with dble AR.

I have the upo lite from Andrew The crystal should come with double AR as it is the part number for the Planet Ocean series and made by omega and not aftermarket. Crystal part number from Ofrei: Omega Sapphire Crystal 062SB3063 OME-SB3063 $169.00 45 mm case only. I have not yet ordered the crystal or dial and hands but will do before the weekend. I will get the swiss movement here in the UK from Cousins. That said I already have a spare 2836-2 and may use this. Not bothered if the Antimag cover does'nt fit! it's only cosmetic on this rep!

I'm pretty sure the crystal will be double ar'd as they only sell genuine Omega parts in this case. Will keep updated. I will order my stuff tomorrow from them.

Bob Frei has informed me it has been corrected. The correct crystal would have arrived but the HTML programmer did it wrong on the web page! I'm going to order a dial and hands plus the crystal and I will get a new movement from Cousins UK. Cannot decide between 2892-a2 or 2836-2. I hope they will fit the lite case! What do you guys think??

Got an email this morning from Ofrei saying they have added the UPO 45 size to the web list. Looks like anothe rmember might beat me too it as I'm also ordering a dial and hands to suit. Just looked and I think there is a problem, the part is showing as the same as a 42mm PO which can't be right, can it?

If they can get the bigger version for my UPO then I will risk the $169 to try it out! Correcton......Ofrei have just replied stating they can get all 50,000 omega parts listed so its just a matter of ordering one which I will do shortly and keep updating. Fingers crossed as this is the biggest let down on the rep for me.

I was just looking through Ofrei's Omega parts and noticed they list the 42mm OEM Crystal which I presume will have the correct double AR coating as per original. I wonder if they fit the 4th gen rep? I have emailed them asking about the larger 168.1650 case number(45.5mm PO) crystal and if they can get on for the ultimate modding member. Does anyone know if this would fit I wonder.....

I'm sorry to hear this has happened. It worked fine for me. I do agre with the other guy that water does not go with reps but it would most likely have condensation inside if that were the case. I never beleived the claims about water resistance so I would imagine that it is no problem for a watchsmith to take a look inside.
