How did the Ebay seller get this watch so quickly?

George is sending me the watch he pictured this week and I will be over the moon if it looks as good as the Ebay auction watch!!!!!!! 450 euro is for the Asian version but intend swapping her out for a swiss 7750. I think the price is reasonable considering the detail that has gone into it. Are we all very sure about this Ebay auction??? I'm not convinced the pics are of a rep.

I have the real Mcoy and yes the crystal is smaller and the bezel is thicker and slightly wider than a Sub with more pronounced knurls around the edge. The case is also thicker and the rehaut is much more shallow than a Sub. THe movement sits high in the case which mkaes the crown sit much higher in the Cg's. A third of the crown sits above the top edge of the crown guard and sits perfectly level at the bottom. One day they may get this right!

Can I add my humble Daytona 6263 with VJ72 movement. Just put this together at the weekend. DW series 1 case Latest DW dial and hands Unused old stock Valjoux 72 movement Gen Crown and tube Gen Tropic 21 Hollow link bracelet with correct markings and end links Gen Spring bars Tha case has been aged but only around the edges of the lugs. I absolutely love this watch and so far it keeps great time. I know these dials are not perfect but it is still a rep and I'm more than happy with the wrist precense I get from tihs lovely peice The movement feels beautiful and bullit proof in it's operation. You get a wonderful solid click when the buttons are activated and hands reset perfectly so far. Give your honest opinions so I can make this watch the best it can be.

You are right about patince!!!!!!!! I did have to take a lovely watch apart though, it was not just the movement. The whole watch was as new in unsold condition which did make it hard to strip on moral grounds but the desire for a Daytona was so great I thought.....F**K it!!!!! Can't wait for the finished article to be on my wrist but I know I must take my time to do it right!

Yesterday I received my 'old new stock' watch with a gorgeous Valjoux72 movement inside looking like the day it came from the factory! I bought her on Ebay weeks ago but it got delayed reaching me but it was well worth the small wait! Tell me what you expert Daytona guys think of her! I also received my new updated dial and hands from DW tihs week and they fit perfectly. I have not got a round to fitting them properly yet so those pics will follow as I go. If anyone has a Tap10 stem they want to sell I would be eternally grateful!! I sent an order to Bob Frei but he has not responded yet as I'm in the U.K. Cousins only have a tap9 stem which I guess will not fit a 7mm Gen crown. Also I've not yet figured out how I will secure it in the case and may also need to modify the start/stop button so the pusher makes correct contact when used. The lever on the movement is a little short of centre to meet the button when pushed in I'm very excited and hope to have some time this weekend to progress to the semi-built stage!!!!! Seadweller is far less common and every man and his dog has a Sub and even the reps are common and so good at first glance that you see them everywhere! I bought a gen SD just before they went up in price around a month ago and have absolutely no regrets whatsoever. The watch has great wrist presence and looks far more purposeful with the thicker case and crystal. The bracelet is stronger too than a SUB.

I often wonder if there is more too it than stated in a post as I've never had a problem with PP in 4 or 5 years dealings. I never choose service as an option, only goods nad never get issues. I assume this email came from Paypal and is not a spoof and you have only replied through your PP access page! I"m always getting threatening mails supposedly from Paypal and Ebay but are never genuine.

David gave me a price which was not too bad and ready at the end of November. I hope they are good, my VJ72 is ready to be fitted now!!!!! Avitt, your watch looks very nice indeed!

I have it somewhere, I will post when I find the packet they came in. They are standard 19mm bars as far as I know....nothing special about them that I can see, just far better made than rep pins.

Saying that the band on a genuine Rolex is as cheap and flimsy as a rep is total [censored]. The feel is completey different from the rep and does not jangle like the reps do. I wear a gen SD everyday and the wear and tear it take has no effect on the surface or build quality. Omega straps mark very easliy as the steel grade is nowhere near the quality of a Rolex band and Rolex reps don't last two minutes before stretching and scratching up. I agree they do not feel heavy and solid like an Omega band for instance but this does not make them flimsy! What it does do however is make them lighter and much more comfortable to wear day in, day out and that's all I have to add to this overview of a band.

Got mine today and already fitted to my 005. The titanium effect crown looks superb but this is for my friends 177H. Thanks Palp!!!!!!!

Great read and info for me too as I"m currently waiting for my VJ72 movement to arrive before embarking on the same road! I'm waiting for parts from Ofrei for my SMP chrono so I"ll add the stem to it THanks Avitt!
