To be honest I'd forgotten and knew very little about the pushers etc when I owned this watch but you may be right looking at Maciek's pics, I hope so anyway because you could still do your project then. I have since built a VJ72 Daytona and would never part with it at any cost!!!!

I'm guessing you have bought your EE Daytona from Maciek in which case I was the original owner of that watch! It is a very good peice as is and really only needs a genuine crownb and tube fitting and a genuine Tropic21 crystal and it would look very good indeed. I don't really think the watch is worth the investment of a gen VJ72 with new dial as I don't think from memory it has assymetric pushers either. I would wait for it to arrive and live with it for a while and then maybe start a VJ72 from scratch with the correct case and dial set. Ubiquitous is the best member to ask about these as he has built several Daytona's and I'm giving my own opinion on the watch you are about to receive. Cheers

I Presume you are replacing the dail too as the sub dial spacing is not the same on the 7750 version as on a VJ72.

Last contact I had with Eddie was last week and do remember him being at an airport and this could be the reason for little contact with us. I have arranged payment for my IWC and will get it when I get it, no sooner and no later than that! Chill out guys.!!

Well spotted my friend! Photos do not do this watch justice. THe AR is so good on these the the crystal nearly always appears invisible and makes the dial jump out at you. Have not bought the BCE yet but the rep AR looks pretty good in most pictures.

I bought my tube install tool from cousins but seem to remember reading that a TORX screwdriver will do the job. When I changed the tube on my Single RED MBW the new cousins tube screwed straight in without the need to re-tap the hole, maybe I was lucky and have'nt tried since. You do have to countersink the hole though otherwise the crown will sit away from the case when tight. Cousins tubes seem pretty good to me and inlcude the 3 seals needed. Good luck!

I think this is a gen 'L' serial or something from the early 90's that you have freshened up. But that said it could be an early MBW case as the cg's are not that rounded around the crown as a gen and fitted with. OEM Crown OEM bracelet OEM Back with gen sticker OEM Crystal OEM Dial What ever it is FF it looks very good indeed!!! Enjoy!

I think the new IWC Pilot's watch from Eddielee looks the nearest to date but I think there will be some stunners in 2007!

The same thing happened on my Bentley clasp but all the screws can give problems. Check them periodically if you wear it often.

I was the original buyer of this watch in Gibralter when I saw it in a Panerai dealer window and those are my pictures and descriptions from when I sold it on Ebay last year. The watch in the pictures are obviously genuine as they were taken by me but the guy I sold it too told me it was stolen in a robbery not long after he boughtfrom me and then tried to resell the watch. I will report this to Ebay as I still have all the pics because I always regretted selling this watch and kept them to view from time to time. I doubt this auction is genuine. Here's a picture from my folder showing the facts so please stay away from the auction. By the way I sold it for 4000.00 pounds.

I have the smallerr 39mm case fleiger from andrew and that has 21mm lug width on a bracelet so not sure if the band is wider on the new 42mm case.

Parcelforce can track it from the EMS number. The site does appear to be down at the moment.

With EMS it should be delivered by Parcelforce within 24 hours of release from customs. Have you tracked it on the Parcelforce website? They losta package in the depot for a few days earlier this year so If I were you I'd ring PForce and ask them to update status for you and then you can query the delay with them.

Ubi has a point with the 16000 Seadweller but I would be interested in 1 Sub case for sure. Are these going to be machined to accept the Rolex Crwon tube too.

Go have a look on King's website as she is showing an updated Arktos with 1:1 sapphire AR plus the date looks very good from the angles shown and the font appears much thicker as per the genuine. Bloody hell!!!!!!!! it's going to be another expensive year!!!!!

The good news is that there will be new models to look forward too after CNY. Swiss7753 PAM187 plus others!!!!

What are you getting from Helfands? Cousins in the UK sell a good aftermarket tube and gaskets for an OEM Crown fitment.

Today I'm sporting a 'Trustytime' Yachtmaster 16622 modded with an MBW Thicker Crystal(from an older MBW Sub case) and OEM Crown and Tube replacement.

I have the MBW version and it is very good but it did not have the new asia movement inside. It has the older movement but it works just fine and the bonus is that you can swap it for a swiss7750 as the hands are the same size unlike the newer 28800 version.
