  1. CORRECT!! If some correct facts rather than speculation were posted it might better inform the newer members and some others who have never even handled one in reality
  2. Had 4 of these and that one is real for sure!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I read between the lines as there were no pictures showing it was gen eta inside. They like to brag about that usually and I was right. Lost interest in rep buying as whole recently, too much [censored] flying around nowadays.
  4. Quite a watch but the decoration is not on a 7753! movement is it!!! Replica world with poorly replicated comments is looking like the norm!
  5. I wonder if Cilla Black will buy the rights to this one!
  6. Can I just mention one thing that bothers me about nearly all the dealers, the pictures do not always marry up to the description. This is a perfect example posted by Andrew yesterday. Cartier Santos 100 chrono with swiss 7753 movemet but none of the pictures actually show one. The movement pics are crappy asia7750 and the watch dial has got a sunken date and not representitive of the swiss at all. Why on earth would I spend that much not knowing what I would really be getting!! http://www.ttwristwatch.com/index.php?main...roducts_id=1233 Here is the link and see for yourselves. That said I have always had good service from all the dealers and always suspected the B&R did not have a swiss movement as they did not brag about it with movement pics as they usually do!
  7. Today I removed the crystal from my recently acqiured Andrew Yachtmaster and fitted a thicker crystal from an old MBW Sub case. The cyclops when fitted was too far to the left so I simply went into the kitchen, turned on the gas hob and held the crystal with pliers in the flame for a few seconds and off it popped. No marks nothing. I then made a frame on the crystal where the cyclops should fit and mixed up some Areldite glass bond. Stuck it on, waited 30 mins then removed the masking tape and trimmed the surplus with a sharp craft knife and voila!!! job done. I love it when a plan comes together. Pics later. I've also fitted a genuine crownn tube and Crown while in bits.

    Gen Rolex

Here's a wrist shot of my Seadweller to help you make a choice. It is a far more desirable model and according to my local dealer from whom I purchased this one, the SD is much harder to come by. It is seen far less on other guys too.
  9. My Ultimate new purchase this weekend.
  10. Simon has worn a Chopard Mille Miglia for the last two years that I know of and not a Breitling.
  11. Just received mine today from Precioustime and the crown is fine. I removed the crown to polish it up as it was just left in a flat steel finish but it works fine so far. The quality of this watch however is simply stunning and the AR although not as strong as the gen is very good by rep standards. Only let down is the lume.
  12. Sorry Lello I cannot remember if I said yes or not so 1 Please my friend.
  13. Josh has just emailes saying he has listed an Ultimate 45mmm PO which is exactly like the swiss eta version but it has the cheaper Asian copy eta movment for a better price. All other detials are the same as the ultimate model.
  14. It has been confirmed by the seller that it is an MBW kit and I'd forgot about the hands!!!!!!!!!!!! Easier to find a triplock crown than it is the hands I think. It's all yours Lions my friend! but it will be interestinbg to watch what happens
  15. I will bidding toward sthe end of the auction, sorry There is a kit out there that does have an aftermarket tube fitted like Helfands sell and I would imagine that all you see in the pics is a rep and not refinished as stated in the auction for reasons of not having it cancelled. I too will only go upto what I can buy the kit for elsewhere but it does include the crown and bracelet I suppose.
  16. Now that my Offshore has gone to Finepics for luming it's back to the good old faithful SD
  17. http://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-Daytona-16520-Cas...1QQcmdZViewItem Very interesting!!!!
  18. Correct H series crown for me and correct caseback thickness has always been a problem on the reps so a good F and H series wouyld be nice. Price would be ok for me too.
  19. I have sent a Paypal transaction to Andrew today with no mention of this from him. I think these issues come up becasue some people are so dumb when they fill out the description box without any thought for what they are doing! I've had a PP account for 4 years or so and have never had an issue with them and touchwood never will if simple rules are followed when dealing with delicate subject matter!
  20. My photo skills are not quite up with yours but it is a great watch, I don't think you will be dissapointed Maciek! I'm also getting tempted by the pics of your HBB!!!!!!!!
  21. Photo taken yesterday but it's likely to be on my wrist for quite some time!!
  22. I hope I'm not too late for 1 wheel please. I have acquired a 1665 in need of a facelift!
  23. It's easy to make a split haed driver. Just find a thin blade and use a dremel cutting wheel to make the cut and narrow the edges if required.
  24. This is my next project when all the bits are together. Congrats on your build!!! I hope to be No.3 to do this! behind you and Ubi
