  1. Ok, I tested the minifiddy dial in two 44mm luminor cases. It fitted in one (a 005 case), but not in the other one (a 111 case). So I suppose it's a matter of good or bad luck. Luminor rep cases are all but standard. In case you are curious, I took measures about the diameter of a few types of dials: Minifiddy: 36.10mm 45mm case radiomir: PAM 183: 35.6mm PAM 287: 36.0mm 44mm case luminor: JimmyFu's PAM 111: 34.0mm Joshua's Asian 21J PAM 104: 34.4 - 34.5mm (two different models) Unnamed Asian 21J luminor: 34.5mm Joshua's PAM 090 (Seagull movement): 34.5mm PAM 140 (Seagull movement as well): 35.3mm I also have a few DSN dials of auto luminor that I still have to measure. So it looks that jerkulot is right. Dials for 45mm radiomir are about 36mm diameter, dials for 44mm luminor are about 34.5mm diameter, and the minifiddy dial is close to the radiomirs.
  2. No problem. Plenty of room for any opinions here. I absolutely agree, B. That is why I said "if it is real AR...". Personally, I would pay to remove rep AR.
  3. Great, thanks! I really love fantasy projects. As soon as I have time I'll test the minifiddy dial on a standard 44mm luminor case too. Keep tight.
  4. Curiously, also my barber is fond of watches. And he has more and better gens than me.
  5. Ok, I tried exatly a minifiddy dial into a blackseal case, which is pretty a standard 45mm radiomir case. It fits. As expected, it is even a tiny bit loose -- about 1/3mm in every direction, I would say. Once the dial is mounted on the movement, and the movement fastened to the case by a good spacer ring, this should be no problem.
  6. I bet he will reply the source is an Officine Panerai AD
  7. Don't expect the look of double AR. Single AR is very subtle. Reflections from the crystal's inner side only account for about 25-30% of the whole reflection, so you are not going to get any stunning effects. The best effect of single AR is erasing reflections from the cylops. If your watch is dateless, it is pretty unworth. Still, as you are asking about single side AR I assume you are interested in a PAM. Single side AR is the one of genuine PAMs. So, if it is real AR and not just a blue tint, at $20 you may go for it even on a dateless watch.
  8. Few posts but great insight. Congrats!
  9. Congrats, TJ! I'll keep this in mind should I ever meet that same issue. Well... not as good as doing it with a nice woman.
  10. I have a 17cm wrist, and wearing a 212 -- which I think is as thick as a 253 -- is no problem.
  11. A stunner and really great shots!!! Just Please would you elaborate? "Just" a matter of lume, or other?
  12. Congrats, B! You took it to 100%, I would say, didn't you? (the only thing I cannot see is the back).
  13. Congrats, V.! I took part on these auctions on past times, but I got constantly overbidded so I gave up. Now you got my holy grail and you proved me it is possible in the end. Has it even small seconds? May I ask which was the winning bid?
  14. Uhm, it depends on where they are virgin...
  15. Thanks zeus! Always eager of seagull info here. In the list of calibers I would also add the ST2530 (date & small secs @9 & PR @5) that is the most common movement in watches w/ PR @5 -- e.g., PAM 090 rep. Not even a 090, Toad?
  16. OH MY! Painting with a black oiler!!! (Folks, to those of you who are not acquainted with this, a black oiler is far thinner than an insuline needle, it's just a thin metal hair, its tip scratches anything it comes to touch). I cannot think anything more difficult, this means even mastering surface tension... After nano-technology, we have nano-art here.
  17. I agree, it's easier. But a pretty decent improvement of the manual is under editor's examination right now...
  18. Even if platinum members are not subject to censorship, I am not going to tell you that.
  19. @DemonSlayer: R, rodico is on sale by cosusinsuk. They should be not far away from you. And, honestly, rodico works incredibly. @guanaco: a specific tool to clean hands & other parts is a leather or fabric buff stick very like the one mentioned by Logan. In Italian language it is called "cabrone", I don't know its name in English. Have a look here: http://cgi.ebay.it/Cabrone-da-orologiaio-o...oQQcmdZViewItem
  20. I got a reply that the attachement was rejected as illegal -- size, surely. I'll try to use a file hosting site, and I'll give you advice and address as soon as I'll have it done.
  21. Sent. Should it prove too large for you to get it, lmk and tell me the max size you can get in a single email. I can also send it splitted in several .rar volumes on several emails.
  22. Apart from Rodico?????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Why?
