  1. You have entered the perfect community for your needs K. !! Welcome, we come from all over the Planet.. I am in Hawaii Stay awhile, there are many members with years of expertise and experience (most important) .. you sure pick some nice brands .. stick with the froums "trusted dealers" .. the reps coming out now are by far the most accurate.. and made mostly from genuine samples Let us know if we can be of any help Aloha~Cheers Lani
  2. Way to go Gang !!!!! Come home from the gym and expected to see 100 views and no replies.. .. This is great Teamwork by all. and Pete.. don't be down on yourself.. alot of people don't realize that this Forum takes up so much bandwidth (or whatever you call the usage) .. but you stepped up and that in all our books is what this place is all about !!! Keep the memberships rollin in.. We have not had a raffle in a while and could surely use the rent money !! Aloha~Cheers L
  3. Bad timing .. not Bad Luck / or bad Karma ... just the luck of the draw.. better than "No Luck" .. plus Chinese Customs moves at their "own" pace.. so whatever is "supposed" to be .. is left for debate .. don't stress.. try and forget about it for awhile .. think about what you want to aquire next ? ... worse case senario it will be another month.. but your watch is fine.. you'll get used to it .. we deal with it every Lunar New Year..
  4. I know this is rehashing old news .. but every once in awhile it should be mentioned. And, this is not meant to target any one member .. just Genral Info.. I am not representing RWG, it's Admin Team nor have I discussed what I am posting with anyone .. I am more than willing, and happy to help any member with parts or whatever support I can lend. However, I feel that every member should help their own cause and pitch in to support our monthly usage. As far as "Supporter Status" is concerned ,.. we are not talking a lot of money or sacrificing here.. what does it come out to? a few dollars a month.. A cup of coffee cost more these day's .. I have given parts away in the past .. and I do it unconditionally .. but with the way things our with our World, I think it is time to state that I will continue to support any member I can.. but I "request" that members who are not supporting the Forum should do so .. out of 'team' spirit for the rest of us. the same members pitch in and some with large amounts of $$ to keep this forum operating If you cannot afford even 20 or 30 usd ..which is what supporter status is (I stand to be corrected) then at least a 10.00usd donation would be nice.. Again, this is not meant to be toward any one member or group of members ... and I am speaaking solely for myself as a "Rank and file" member.. nothing more or less.. Aloha~Cheers Lani
  5. Thanks Rxus ! the skyland along with others in the Breitling line look big due IMO to the size of the dial in relationship with the case size.. there is very little metal from the case to the crystal-dial.. it is thick, but the majority of it's size is in the dial (visually anyway) .. just my thought on the Breitlings.. it does make for EZ viewing That is signature TMG.. one of a kind original thought
  6. I am sorry for your troubles JJ, I know the feeling of that experience all to well. the only Modder Ziggy put's in regards, to doing good work is Vaccum, thank you for stepping up and letting the new members know,... this has alway's been an issue on the forums. I hope you stay around RWG.. there are a lot of great members here willing to support your hobby. .. in fact let me look .. I may have a dial that I will not use in the immediate future that you may be able to put to good use.. Aloha~Cheers Lani
  7. thank you TH.. it was again due to this Forum that I had some good fortune .. look out.. Samurai is coming soon with macro's of his own.. and I know they will be as good if not better than anything here now.. I'm looking forward to the "Young Gun" and his pics.. we all share in the opportunities that this community has to offer..
  8. I condesnsed your post to a "short story" from an "Epic Novel" Robbie..... Man you guy's must type at light speed...
  9. Looks good .. I was jus going to post pics of my extra tab... as Toad say's you should still sign up for supporter.. for "good watch karma".. otherwise all your watches will be cursed and stop for no apparent reason.. and there will be nothing you can do to stop it ..
  10. Wednesday
  11. I know this is way off topic for this thread.. but this is a macro shot with the Nikon ,.. in the camera shop .. without proper lighting and no tripod... and the thing with the macro is, a tripod for me is a must.. but I was amazed at the image, considering the lighting and the camera being hand held.. I was surprised .. usually with a macor being hand held the font is very blurry.. it's just a little bit on these images ... the shutter is very soft .. more delicate than my previous macro lens. I should take some shots of the Breitling dials .. can't wait to see what the Nikon can do with proper lighting.. etc.
  12. Thanks again ALL !!.. I'm kinda excited as I went to the camera shop (it's been in Hawaii for 3 generations) jus to check up on any new upgrades.. and in talking to the manager about some issues I would like to correct was told that I should have been sold a different Macro lens .. the one I have is good but the Nikon is far better.. YIKES.. here we go with the sales pitch.. I still don't believe it but he said if I still have the box that he would swap it for me .. as I got everything I own with them .. now I told him it would be a 500 usd difference in the cost.. he said, "that would be the retail difference".. and since I paid retail on the sigma... yada, yada.. no wonder they have been in business before my Fathers time.. gotta run and pick up ma new Nikon Macro .. I have recieved good camera karma today..
  13. One big replicated family ma man !! your lucky .. there are tons of members from UK !! so I'll just say "Welcome" good to have you on board .. and leave it to the members from your side of the pond.. have fun.. and get your wallet ready for some "hits" Aloha~Cheers Lani
  14. OK BK ... as per our communique .. I will post pics when I get home today, of the pearl tab .. if they look satisfactory to you , you can get in touch with TwoTone (co-admin) sign up for at least "supporter", and as soon as TT gives me the green light the tab is yours.. you are responsible for the shipping charges.. that's all. after all, we do need to pay the utilities around this very large "Living Room" .. ergo the reason I will open what ever I have in surplus to contributing members only .. I'm not trying to cop an attitude ... jus take care of our own.. Cheers~ L
  15. thanks Gang !! I actually ordered a darker coloured gator and received this instead.. but it has grown on me... so I guess this is a keeper and I'll just have to get the darker one later.. To all those pm'ing me.. this is Aarons email.. but I would advise waiting until the CNY is over and everyone is back to work there,.. as his emails mst be piling up whist on Holiday.. aarontanhk@hotmail.com when I order I just order the measurements (lugs-buckle) as OEM specs.. then give him my wrist size .. you can trust that you will get the proper size depending on the girth of the strap.. Cheers Lani
  16. Thank you Samu .. appreciate it.. I will since these camera's don't need film (that sounds ancient) .. I will keep um flowing
  17. Great Line Up RG .. !! This makes me wonder what my Fabulous Five will be..mmmmm ... gotta work on it..
  18. The versatility of the Breitlings never stops !! Apropos to the grey Hawaiian Sky today ~ Aaron's Grey Gator on Grey Dial.. Two solitary drops .. wonder how far they fell ? The Sun dosen't always shine .. nice for solitude at times ..... and a grey timepiece Thanks for viewing !
  19. Sorry dude,.. ma bad ,.. I forgot to mention you need to be a "supporter" at the least to gain access to my parts box..
  20. Mt. Mckinley .. Awesome .. if I said though that this is my fav pic of this thread.. I would be lying through ma teeth !! . . . . . . . . . . . . . Cause I am MADD NUTZ for friggin French Stockings and ankle boots with SPIKED HEELS
  21. I am giving the benefit of the doubt.. be it the pain meds, or other issues .. but your scripted senario was not appreciated .. you could of very well used one of your undoctored pics.. Pho, it is not the pic itself but the "act" of this thread (as my pic was up for the world to see and it was obvious that the balance was off) if anything the reflection could be adjusted . .. and please don't chaulk it up to being "sensitive" .. the sugar coating of semantics makes it more insulting, you need not resort to tactics that in my World would be construed as cowardly. If you had presented this with my knowledge we would not be having this diatribe. Simple communication to what was going to be posted and an acknowledgement from me would have made the difference. Human relationships are based on Trust.. IMO .. it would be like me posting your PM that you had asked to keep confidential.. get ma drift ?? First,.. by your own admission "crap" on my UN pictorial .. I turn the other cheek,.. try to "Hoomalemale".. (make right) the path between you and I .. and given the meds you are on most of the time.. I can understand the confusion at times.. But I for one expect more from a Senior member of this board .. and one who does not IMO have to "Prove" anything in regards to his images and reviews. I for one do not feel like I am taking away from your knowledge and skills .. why you feel threatened is beyond me.. I would like to get past this .. in time maybe the trust will be restored.. but words will not cut it.. as they say.. "actions speaks the loudest" .. so we'll see how much you and "I" walk our TALK.. Maluhia and Aloha .. (Peace~Breath of life) R @Dani.. ya put into words what is in my thoughts about all the software.. what good is it to be able to take a image then press a key to redo the whole image.. and yes .. at times although photoshop makes brilliant pics .. too much of it and the image looks "cartoonish" .. to me at times.. thank you ~ R
  22. Nope.. disagree with your assesment of the tint.. since I was there in person.. that day the sky was as blue as ever and the sun was shinning bright, and this image was taken in shade with teh sky's reflection at an angle.. the blue tint is from that.. and NO.. the BS is not totally matte when it is indirect reflective light.. if you have one available for your own satisfaction, and not one that you handled for a few minutes. disagree also with the pic that is photoshop enhanced, it is not true to the actual item in question ... the red is too red, the the steel is too black for the type of lighting and of course the pic that I had knowledge of (being used of my own free will) is unsaturated as the image does add more colour than normal (digital) next time I suggest you use your own image in your tutorial.. to show off your photo shop expertise., unless you deem it necessary to elevate your own self esteem by not asking if it's cool with the second party .. maybe I'm used to doing things differently.. thanks lani I figure if someone is going to post a pic that I did that is not very well done and use it as a bad example I should have some say in the matter..
  23. ask your dealer if he can source you another (tab) pearl (only).. let us know either here or via PM .. I may have a spare.. but please check with your dealer first and send the pic with your request
  24. this would be a more realistic image of the BS .... if I use "enhancement" in the images in my pictorials it would make the piece and strap look irresistable,.. but the colour would not be true.. as you can see the hands are more orange/red .. this is the true colour of the rep.,. it definately needs to be modded (painted) more of a Ferrari red.. the Blue tint in the case is from the blue sky above .. "reality" in my images is very improtant to me.. as this is how you would view the "real" timepiece in person.. as opposed to a studio pic with artificial lights.. Sorry I wasn't prepared for my pic to be used in this thread.. so I thought I would add my thoughts of how I approach my pictorials.. but there is no debating that photo shop adds great artificial enhancement..
