When your favorite watch gets bumped down to 2nd Place...
lanikai replied to TeeJay's topic in General Discussion
Funny how it goes back and forth... I never let the PAMS off my wrist .. now I'm going through a period where I can't get the Omegas<IWC's and Breightlings off .. my Pams are neglected I'm curious to see if this is a phase and what the cycle will be like LIVE STRONG AND WEAR IT WELL -
Well, if it were a family member of mine that was killed .. and the killer was walking the street.. i believe i would be very patient.... killing him quickly would be to easy (for him) .. I think you get my drift... i really believe I would let him believe he is safe ... but take away everything first.. slowly.... and let him suffer .. not physiclly ... sounds like Mr. Goldman is doing just that..I know it is said that "Vengence is mine saith the Lord" .. but being it would take Mother Theresa to forgive .. i would wait...

If it's a SS bracelet.. it is "supposed" to be worn like a bracelet... with one finger being able to fit between the bracelet and your wrist" .. but I find this too loose with the mechanical movement watches being thicker and with more weight than other watches.. but i like to be able to fit my pinky finger (tight) in between the bracelet and my wrist.. for heavier (UPO) cases I wear it loose but not loose inough to fiy any fingers in between the bracelet and my wrist.. If it's a leather strap I don't like to "feel" the strap is tight at all and the thicker and stiffer the strap .. then i will wear it a little loose.. but it does not move around when the strap is a little thicker ...ie. Mario Paci PAV 91.... but this is a personal preference ... I don't find a need to be like the L.A. Dweebs that say you have wear things a certain way.. LIVE STONG AND WEAR IT WELL

Lawyer David Cook said Simpson was ordered Tuesday by Superior Court Judge Gerald Rosenberg to turn over a Rolex he was shown wearing on a video clip posted to the website TMZ.com to Fred Goldman, whose son Ron was slashed to death along with Nicole Brown Simpson in 1994, said Goldman's lawyer, David Cook. Simpson was acquitted of the 1994 murders but found liable for the deaths in a civil trial and ordered to pay $33.5 million to the families. Cook estimates the watch to be worth about $5,000. "We pray it's not a fake," Cook said. "We pray it says made in Switzerland, not in Bangkok." (Copied from USA Today) In USA today and other news print around the USA.. OJ ordered to hand over his Rolex ... but is it "Genuine".. thought this would be, if nothing else... entertaining .. so maybe TTK can answer this one.. ..DID YOU OR DID YOU NOT SELL MR. SIMPSON HIS ROLEX ?.. OJ has yet to anty up any of the 33.5 mil. .. but his income from the NFL Pension is large.. but untouchable (legally) .. so he was captured on video wearing a rolex ... Well, since we don't speak the "Queens English".. it derives from the Hip Hop culture(that was started in the 70's in New York, by a Jamaican D-Jay...the rapping part) that abuses "American English".. it's our own since that * 4th of July incident* Peace... Lani

I have found that the rubber bracelet to be in between sizes.. I take a 125/80 in leather and this HBB bracelet fits a little tight on the 3rd hole..which is what it should be at for this size bracelet.. so I boiled water in a tea pot and "steamed" the rubber strap with the steam that flows out of the spout... stretched the strap a little and .. it stretched just enough to be a comfortable fit.... some times "imagination" is the best modder... Need is truely the Mother of invention.. because by no stretch of the imagination can I call myself a modder LIVE STRONG AND WEAR IT WELL

the only loss I experienced was with a defective watch and the collector ignored my mail loss 2 watches .. but i still have them and plan on getting them "repaired" at some point .. every single watch that I sent back to Joshua has been either repaired or replaced .. As far as the cost of shipping .. i look at this as just a cost of buying reps.... but with that said Joshua has ALWAYS made it up to me without me asking..ie.ss bracelet n/c .. or free shipping on my next order .. I have never ended up in the "RED" .. in fact I alway's come out ahead
-
Not sure of your question .. if it is a new order once it is posted it usually is diapatched from the "sorting center" the next day (EMS).. not sure on how long they take for registered.. I just had a EMS package sitting in US customs (San Fran) for 5 day's.... if Homeland security has other priorities ie: drug intervention etc. .. small parcels are generally put on the side .. this comes from people I am acquainted with that work Homeland security..

NO not "that" slow .. I would get in touch with your collector and ask him to "advise" .. did you fill out the declaration as you were instructed to ????
-
I'tll be all good Carl.. just try not to think about it .. just think of it as something to look forward to

I (knock on wood) .. have not had problems sending watches back to China... there are a lot of watch smiths here also .. but you cannot walk into a certified dealer asking him to work on a watch that he will question you about .. unless you know the repair person personally. and most of them are not as good or even close to Ziggy... plus not to mention what they will charge you.. and why spend money if your collector offers to fix it .. granted it usually takes a month before you get it back but that's one of the fact's of life when it comes to the reps we buy. If you follow the instructions that is laid down to a T .... you should not have a problem .. if you put another name or don't declare it as costume jewlery 10 usd (for example) you will have problems. I send everything registered mail .. not with tracking as this only adds to the cost... after it arrives you can look at the history.. and most of all don't insure it ... for obvious reasons... If you are shipping from the US give it 10 to 14 day's (business day's) .. I don't know about China but in the US if something is confiscated you will recieve a letter stating this and inquiring if you want to dispute it.. do not reply.. plain and simple.. take the hit. .. this will rarely happen with the reps though .. more for reptile straps , (which will go to the forensic lab) .. and tobaco products. I send the watches back without the straps or lug screws .... your collector will instruct you on the information to fill the declaration with ... do not deviate.. sometimes it will sit in customs (China) for a long time.. this only means they have not gotten to it yet.. they are not real speedy on their end.. Good luck
