just got mine ... and the day/date is starting to malfunction... other than sending it in to ziggy which I will do eventually as soon as he has openings.. what is the fix for this in case i try to take it in to a watch smith here ?? thank you, Lanikai

I ordered the ss/ceramic 718.00 usd , if your going to spend this for a Rep(avery good one) may as well go all the way..don't you think ??.. this model (ss/ceramic) is "supposed" to be the most accurate .. some of the other models that should be full ceramic case is PVD case .. the rose gold is also very accurate but check with Joshua or Andrew.. I really like the rose gold but I would have to wear it to "certain" events or "places" to pull it off.. for me it would look out of place for your ordinary everyday wear.. hambone has the rose gold version and it looks magnificent .. it should be worn with a suit ...IMHO .. but i feel that the ss/ceramic can be worn casually .. and i like the multi colour dial..

well, i did breathe a sigh of relief ..... it will be OK as TT say's with time .. so to clarify ... the hole section of the strap is what you treated ?? and if so, it does not look bad... of course only the owner"s eye's .. are sensitive enough to asertain it's difference.. must be the "personal" relationship with the article.. Well V, may as well even the keeper -buckle side with the same bee's wax .. to my eye it's the only way to have any uniformity with the total look.. but let TT guide you for sure.. quick history on the Meta Catherina please.. thankyou ...L

You are going to like that .. it's the one that just arrived for me... I was really amazed at how light it is on the wrist..I can't tell I have it on .. that's with the black rubber strap though.. but even the bracelet feels light weight..

I am sure Hublot does not want to give out ... "to much information" as the ceramic bezel that is made for Hublot in china .. is also the same one on the Rep.. I believe that Hublot just wants it "known" that there are replica or "fakes" would be their euphamism .. out there .. there is no verbal comparison because they are probably that "good"(the reps) ... think about it for a minute .. If the Reps weren't really good and couldn't pass for genuine... do you think Hublot would use all this time and negative ad space .. what this tells me is " the HBB is not Worth 20 K if someone can replicate it that good" .. IMHO hublot should have just let it go.. it messes with the mystique of the genuine .. they are very concerned or they wouldn't be going through all this trouble and money

there are alot of agenda seekers out there.. and i am sure a lot of jealous people .. I would not put it past anyone to drop a dime on J & A to Hublot etc. you hear things such as .... they lied to us.. on and on .. well, welcome to the real world .. fact is everyone on this planet lies .. what would happen if the genuine makers really wanted to end this rep business.. it would not take much for them with their deep pockets to put pressure on their respective governments and then in turn lean on the powers that be to increase customs exams..... these watch companies can easily "Lobby" the commitees that would influence these products .. Ultimately we would end up not being able to get reps from anyone ... if we are really thinking of the "rep community" .. then we should consider what the repercussions of this will mean. the shock waves of what is happening could mean we would only be able to talk of "what if's" .. the Reps are better than ever and increasing in popularity and authenticity ... and unless we start developing a low key attitude in how we talk or bash dealers.. we may be talking of .."how easy it used to be to order reps" Yes, I am thinking of the good of the Whole .. it's not the collectors (who ever you think is good or bad) against us .. it's all of "us" against the real .. genuine watch makers .. because of the quality of reps these day's .. I would not want to see the day come where it is impossible to order reps on line and the dealers put out of business .. remember please .. things can "ALWAYS" get worse.. some thing to think about the next time J & A become the target for more diatribes.. Vici .. it looks to me as if V's strap is a totally different colour .. it has more of the rediish tones... Bee's wax contains oils ..if it were mine.. i would say .. oh well ... may as well go "all in" .. meaning why not just do the whole strap and as TT say's time is the greatest denomenator...can't fight it so may as well have the strap all one uniformed darker shade.. beats the alternative of spots.. and the hide looks very porous .. it may never achieve the sheen of V's.. like the PAV 91 .. don't mean to be a downer.. but don't want to raise your hopes and have you trippin .. It would look nice to be a shade darker .. but that's just my IMHO..

I was just wondering where V wandered off to... "beauty shine".. (france) really shines the sh_t.. out of leather but it has petrolium by products so you don't want that.. be sure to start buffing vigorously before the paste is all in the leather..(Hide Food) for your Saab leather if you really want it to look "new" there should be people in your area that re-paint leather.. using leather paints.. (with air brushing) .. it beats replacing the seats. .. we have guy's here that do majic to bently leather that people wear ing "designer" jeans leave the blue from the denim on the white leather seats.... NIGHTMARE ...

you may want to try "hide food" .. go to RR-Bently dealership or Mercedes dealer may have it.. try a little on the inside of the strap rub it in with your fingers.. then buff it with a lint free cloth.. it works well on the plush leathers and really shines on the stiffer Range Rover leather ... good luck

i have forgotten the name of the glue.. but the PO I got from andrew had the same problem .. the watch smiths use a epoxy 2 part .. remember you may need to remove the existing glue .. be careful you don't want to use a solvent that will remove the epoxy but run down into the bottom of the bezel, you will have the bezel freeze and not be able to function.. don't ask how i know...let andrew know and he will send you a replacement bezel in case yours is bent.. be careful with the pearl.. make sure it's secure before you glue the bezel back on.. the 2 part epoxy seems to work the best .. it gives you time to move the insert before it freezes in place...good luck

The new generation of Hublot Reps are very good.. one of the reasons Hublot is chasing people... the ceramic bezel on the rep will fit on the genuine and is also made in China.. there is a connection there .. as was stated earlier .. collectors take down certain sites from time to time as a precautionalry measure ... I have one coming in from said site ... ask some of the members who have purchased the HBB's if you are new to the RWG.. check out the reviews ... ziggy's review on the 7750 (new version) .. .. the verteran members... have a wealth of information .. so if you plan on making this an obssesion .. like I have, then please upgrade your membership..it's worth it.. check out the reviews ... BY-Tor.. i made good choices based on his reviews ... Ziggy is a better Horologist than I have seen in the retail or wholesale end.... Pugwash .. Sssurfer .... all these members have liteally years of experience with watches and I base a lot of what I do from their comments.. I don't buy reps to "fool"anyone but cause .... I am totally obssesed with them ... i love my reps .. as most all members do... But ... this is just my opinion.. so take what you need and leave the rest.. Aloha, Lanikai

Yes .. V ... actually i thought you could comment best on the sociological aspect of the mind set in these countries... and like I said before...we make up a very , very small portion of the Rep world. we are not the beggining nor the end.. we would be very naieve to think that our dealers and we were the only factions involve in the "hobby" of reps.. and with that said .. for me it is a HOBBY .. and the collectors provide that hobby.. but there are other factions .. that is why I feel we need to protect our dealers.. no matter if you like them or not... it is not about personalities... personaly I don't want to see them put out of business ... none of them.. then what ?? As an example of this ... I do have first hand knowledge in the governments intrution into the right to choose ..I represented Hawaii Bikers in the legislature and as it's director when we had the world conference on the east coast... representatives from all over the world.. Germany ,UK, every state and every biker club in the USA ... to come together to fight the helmet law the federal government was going to withhold highway funds unless every state passed a mandatory helmet law ( millions ), Hawaii wa one of the only states that got the law put down every year ... we as a whole got the Federal government to repeal the laws.. and once repealed can never come back representatives from the UK brought tapes made by the government wanting to put seat belts on bikes... ( utterly stupid) we joined together because what happens in one part of the world "will" adversely affect the rest of the world... my point in all of this is we need to stay neutral in what we think and feel about the colectors and keep this hobby safe for us all.. i I just broke my annonymity .. if you were involve with motorcycles and or Clubs ..then you know my colours .. if not ... no need Lani

the problem with hublot is the reps are being sold in the middle east and in south america as genuines,that is what has gotten Hublot paniced... if it were just about the reps it would not be a problem but there are oyther parties involved, other than dealers that we don't need to bother ourselves with ... these super reps are finding their way to buyers that are paying mega bucks for them

By-tor's review's have solidified my buy's with confidence.. thank you for your time.. and when members like Ziggy or Kruzer ... sssurfer post a review it is for me ... invaluable... summer is the time for travel and laying out.. so maybe RWG will start getting more traffic as the weather cools..

there may be better deals out there for japanese movts. and such .. but with the exchange rate I would be paying over 400 usd for the "better" deals .. there are stricter laws for replica money ....
