mix dish soap with water for the wet sanding .. this allows the paper to slide easier on the metal surface... wrap the sndpaper anornd a wooden disposible chopstick.. the thick wide side and use it like a block sanding. now i have reciecved the blk dial and to my eyes it seems "deeper" than the blue as far as the colour of the dials offsetting the dimensions of the watch.... the AR coating is the finisher .. although I have never seen a gen woth as much AR coating as the reps..

wow,... that sounds totally out of context with andrew .. in the time that i have dealt with him.1yr. 3 months... I have never known him to be less than honourable, he is actually a real boy scout when it come to stuf like that ... kind of hard to prove now anyway since anyone can take a picture of any watch Sorry ... but i find it hard to believe given the track record I have with him .. not once was his dealings anything but honest with me.. .

well said, Yes i do not wish to sway anyone .... if i sounded bias then i stand corrected... it has been my experience as well,Joshua has always been up and up with me and replaced defective watches immediately his service after the fact is outstanding with "me" and the parts he provides me at no charge... well,I am happy ... of course there have been makers i am not happy with .. same maker same problem ... I am sorry for what has happened to some of the dealers and the members.. i hope someday it can be ammended Lanikai

thanks Slay, the colours on the dial and bezel do look great though ..... supposedly the maker has a genuine and is still trying to get the orange and inner bezel lume correct ... seems like orange is a challenge to these guy's .. if it were chinese red there would be no problem huh...LOL but there is a lot of appeal to the current edition. some minor flaws as i saw in the great review that a member posted but i can live with that .. it's a great looking watch

I feel it safe to say this post is about done.. In closing this .. i need to note that without the dealer supplying me with a new dial and hands, I would have been forced to purchase a new watch if i wanted to make use of Lello's Date wheel and CT's mag..and Kruzers gen. crown and i must add that I did not have to pay for them..this is to give credit where credit is due and so no one thinks otherwise.. i did not reveal to Joshua the why's and the Who .. none of the details.. but asked if I could purchase the dial and hands and CG ..he said he would send them to me at no charge.. they arrived yesterday via express courier.. I feel compeled to write a review of my dealings with Joshua and Andrew in the dealer review section .. I have been dealing with both for over a year now ... well, I know some have strong opinions when it comes to dealers ... so with that said.. I guess more shall be revealed.. just so the other side of the dealers can be seen also.. not to disagree with anyone else opinions The on going Saga of....... If you are reffering to the pics... I take sole responsibility for whatever you are thinking.... before you past judgment on the person who took the pics or the modder in question ... remember it is "my" watch that was involved.. there is a fine line between understanding and being misunderstood.... if you want to think that the pics were done for self elevation ...that's up to you ... if you want to think that the pics were revealed because for about a week this thread was conjecture , heresay, and no concrete proof that anything that was being said had any validation, that to is an option If this thread had lived a short life then this would not have come to fruition.... but it did not and I was ready to take whatever was dished out so no one else would be dragged into this.. because it was my "battle" so to speak... but hind sight is 20/20.. so with that said.. everyone for a long time has been in this issue .. weather we or I knew it or not. this would be good diplomacy(quote from the book) and the person who posted the pics has shown this very attribute before things got way out of hand.. information is the key to sucessful operations .... before this thread arrived ... i piggy backed off another thread in the panerai group ... I wanted it known that members modding for the forst time should not be taken advantage of... if anyone can recall... human nature being what is is, that may be an impissibility(not mis-spelled) .. I was not asking for a refund ... just a warning to the modder not to do this again ... for me the beggining of the end (so to speak) it was not about the money it was about setting things right .. and to make ammends meant not doing it to another so called customer again.. you have to admit... there was a lot of "marketing" and "Advertising" done on the boards.... by that I mean posting all the finished products... obvously only the really good ones....LOL ......I'm sure it wasn't purely for show and tell,. so it just seems ironic now that a modder can say to the effect.. I didn't ask to do it and it takes time away from my family when in effect he was asking for work otherwise why advertise..??.... and the marketing aspect with other members voicing... "a rising star ready to do a lume job on the Sistine Chapel" Two thumbs way up>>"Siskel and Ebert" .....OK so there is no way to regulate this .. this is an open forum .. but should new modders be listed under "trading" sections"... there is no way to "big brother" this because the RWG I am sure is not in the "business" of renting modding space... but we are using this "SPACE" to commnicate our likes and dislikes ....So to me .... a lot of show and tell is to in effect say .."I do really good work .. contact me ..... another great job done by>>>>." so... my main purpose from the start was to make sure this does not happen to anyone else ... so if the name calling and "bashing" brought us to this.... which I believe is growth and information... then it was worth it... maybe suggestions so this will not happen .... maybe letting new members know to check with neutral parties before dropping 3 to 4 hundred bucks for what you saw on the pics...not that I think that kind of money will be charged in the near future unless warranted..
