Hello, I am new to the BL threads ... my only BL watches are the super avenger .... the Bently and the Bently GT .. I am getting ready to pull the trigger on the Steelfish .. but would like some input on the dial since I do not like to rely on my own eyes when it come to pics.. can anyone give me some direction as to which is the dial of choice... black or blue .... can't make up my mind any opinions would be greatly appreciated thank you lanikai

From a relable source the 000 and the 005 are at the moment not available.. the maker for what ever reason will not be making these models.. A senior dealer is trying to get the makers of the 036 to pick up this model .... which to me would be a really good thing... they have the thicker crown and CG and thicker crystal On another note... RWG's own sssurfer has been asked for his input as a tech advisor for a much anticipated new release About time they started going to the Source of valuable information you think now with sssurfer giving direction they may have a chance to get things correct

V.. Since you are getting a 127 from Davidsen, ask him for the spring bars that look like screws ... i got the 24 and 26 mm from him ... the only strap they don't fit would be the SS bracelets..

I am looking at the logo on the 005 and 000 what is the correct angle... square or slightly angled to the right?? I am thinking angled right.... any tech members know the correct one?? thanks.. Lanikai

anyone have a pic of a genuine? recently i sanded and polished a rep the brushed finish went pretty deep so the "Panerai "got thinner after sanding and polishing .... i'm going to take it to a friend that has a Hermes engraver ,just to go over the engraving ... but i would like to see how deep the engraving is on the orginal .. thanx, Lanikai

It cost more in the US to pay WU online ... i go to the WU office that they have in the Food Markets here na pay considerably less .. cost me about 40usd for 350 usd don't really care for it but Davidsen is WU or Bank Transfer .. but he usually splits the cost of the moneygram witha discounted price on the watch

Thanks Delta for the observations ... nothing like "in person" visuals.... what really impressed me was not only the very clean lines the last time i visited TIME WERKS .. which is Ben Bridge .... the cyclops was of such excellent quality i could clearly see the font from a meter away .. that to me was amazing.... i wonder what that optical would cost ala carte ... so the $$$ is not all for the name brand... thanks again....

for sure "hide food",... used on the leather for Bently , RR , Ferrari , Porsche , etc. .. the only treatment that i find that will leave a nice satin gloss when buffed .. remember ... lint free cloth... because the hide food starts out sticky...

THAT'S EVEN BETTER .. I BELIEVE YOUR WAX IS BEES WAX ...bodybuilders get waxed ... man what women go through to stay beautiful... not that i would know..LOL.... you don't need the heating machine V.. just a old pot will do and i tried once to use the wax dry and rub in on the strap then work it in with my fingers ... came out really good.. sent that one to a member in Florida .. did not sell it to him ... things that you do for others come out better cause you are not as cautious.. kind of free wheeling when it's not for yourself.. which is a good thing that "hide food" is really good stuff for vintaging though ... highly reccomend it .. it is a thick leather paste and a bit tacky (feel) at first but work it in with your fingers then get an old (lint free rag) and buff it; it will get a nice semi velvet finish to the leather.. if you have a dremel use the sanding wheel to take the rubberized coating off the sides if not just coarser grit sand paper... what do you call sand paper in europe? only reason i ask is what we call elevators you call "lifts" and when we refer to food "take out".. you refer to it as "take away's" and in our culture take away's is in basketball ... don't know what the point to all this is ...??? babble

how much dissapointment are you really willing to endure VB .... check out davidsens 005 in my humble opinion if you look at everyone elses logo it is very .,, very square .. the Pam logo is not upright square but sort of angeled ... look at davidsens, then the genuine, then look at the pic you posted... see a difference... that square logo .... ggeeezzzz

VB ... i second Kruzer on this i had my EL glass explode and had a davidsen sapphire put on it ... it is heavy on the AR if you don't mind that but you will be getting the real deal with his crystal . did you get the PM the other day?? Lanikai

thanks CT ... I don't think they would mach the TI case ... I went over the metal with a old plating machine i have ... to make it gray like pewter ... more like the genuine .. so it is a darker colour now and the steel would stick out.. Joshua has the thicker crown on his 036 but i doubt i can get parts from him .. and i have been advised that DSN ti crowns leaves a bit to be desired .. they still look better than the tricycle wheel look of the thin crowns though ...

I would think that because it is a steel case and thick sapphire you are not going to hear the tick like the croc from Peter Pan.... (JOKE) I tried doing the same but realized i am next to the ocean and the waves kind of over ride any quiet sound i am trying to listen to ...
