  1. Dont think they use fedex to europe anymore. Forwarder must know.
  2. I haven't spoken to anyone that has received his item from Josh or Andrew in the Netherlands lately. 5 Items got intercepted by customs. They must know the trick or have a policy of opening everything from the east. Anybody a suggestion because I already stopped ordering but he I recommend Andrew and Josh to friends and now they turn back to me....
  3. I start with the Comex thats in my signature....
  4. He By-Tor I still thinks the white explorer looks great. The wristshot makes me jealous...
  5. Mine are my two favorite watches a gen 1675 and a fully modded franken MBW 1665 with gen 1570 movement. The small avatar is the collection of my reps and gen combined... although rather old. King Kite Surf is the sport I do.... Kitesurfing...
  6. 120240762817 Simple standard MBW with gen movement. He wrote all the tricky words so that it's open if it is gen or not.
  7. My God.... I am losing respect for Rolex... If they continue to design [censored] like that, the vintage rollies like my old 1675 will keep skyrocketing in price... I will start looking at IWC and Panerai... for future purchases...
  8. Does anybody know what can be done on a Valjoux 72 when the stem lock screw is overturned. It does not seem to lock the stem anymore and that way winding and setting time does not work anymore. Cheers.
  9. Sick!! Tiffany DRSD! and the COMEX1665!
  10. I doesn't necessarily need to be the movement. Sometimes the tube from the hand just slips in the hand. Or the tube slips on the canon pin. Check it before you tear the movement apart. You feel this when you slightly touch the hand cw or ccw. If it is very easy it slips. Now look with a loop what slips.
  11. Welcome Eurotimez, This sounds all very promising...
  12. Keep it this way. Find a gen acrylic pearl to fit (Never can get used to the hole in the insert sorry). Further it looks magnificent!
  13. That's my opinion as well... Better cases are available...
  14. That is a lot of work for a nice piece... I don't know what the money is you invested in it by now? But having bought a gen and selling it after a few years would probably have cost you less.... Still having this one stolen or lost wouldn't hurt financially that much. Very nice oneit is!!! I don't agree about the Porsches btw ... My 993 has just been in the shop twice over the past 2 years for regular service....
  15. Well I got mine from Josh and it definitely has double AR. Pretty well done... held against the light it gives a blue glass.. at some angles it looks like there is no glass on it.
  16. Well Rob, I do however feel resistance... And the hands now started to move but it run very inconsistently, stops runs stops... the last 30 mins the hands have moved 15 min total while chrono is running perfect... thats 50% of the time... I guess this one is just bad... return to dealer is the only way... I think this one is really not good... never had problems with Asian 7750's yet... this is the first... Or should I install a 7750 swiss and ask a refund for the movement...
  17. I know Henrik he resides in the Netherlands. He has very nice stuff. You are a lucky guy. Nice watch wear it in health... The watch still remains on my favorites list.
  18. This guy claims to have a 100% gen DRSD dial, hands and movement for auction... The dial is fake as hell... check the alignment of the L and the coronet... Never seen such a bad fake.... Movement is broken too... The bids are high already... Hope no one gets suckered into this one. Sorry http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-1665-RED-Submari...bayphotohosting Auction number 330201723622
  19. I got an 3717 on the way from Joshua. I also plan on exchanging to the Swiss ETA if all possible. I would not mind a old Asian 7750 that way but I would not want to pay the high quality movement price for the old movement rep. Argh this is getting tricky. Thanks for updating us Rob!
  20. My gen 1675 from 71 has a flattop datewheel. My 1665 with gen movement also has a gen flattop 3 datewheel (all be it champagne) On the 1675 with cyclops it looks pretty sharp. The Ubi Datewheel next to the gen 1665 movement looks very accurate but a tiny bit to bolt fonts. Installing Ubi datewheels remain a crime however but are a huge difference with the standard MBW datewheel... worth the while if you are hobbyist but not for a paid service that The Zigmeister tries to deliver... its just not profitable for those who try to make a living from it.
  21. It is not an issue of thickness imho but of inconsistency. It is a sticker and the positions require microns precision. The sticker is flexible and wiil not come in the exact center on all 31 dates. It takes a lot of effort to get it right eventually. I completely understand Rob (The Zigmeister) for not wanting to do that... it's risky and not rewarding... only hobbyist like me will spend hours to get it right.
  22. Well maybe there is a way of filling the subdial hands up a bit.. 0,03mm is not a lot so a drop of glue should work. It is the second hand that worries me. Definately worth a try though... Has anyone managed to fit the Swiss 7750 in the IWC 3717?
  23. AJS, Could you tell me what the hand size differences are with the newer 28,8k bph asian 7750. I want to put swiss in the breitling navitimer and a IWC 3717. Anyone know where to get hands or are the makable from the Asian hands
