I am f'ing speechless......and I won't lie in telling you that I have shed more than a few tears of amazed joy and humble ecstasy. You my friend have gone way too far......and for that I am eternally thankful. To be clear, I simply sent this man a box of junk and simply asked that if he had a chance, perhaps he could use most of it and perhaps build me a simple watch with the leftovers. Ubi, not only are your skillz in what you do evident for all to see, your ability to bring a man to tears by such a gesture are far often sadly overlooked.....not to mention your sadistic ability to torture via tight lipped silence. If by now you haven't noticed, I really need something good to happen in my life...............and I think it just did. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Even if it's "just a crack" small dust can cause the problems you are having. I would discuss this with the sellar. You bought a watch, it arrived in poor condition.....give them a chance to work it out. As for "I need to have it serviced anyway" many of these movemennts do quite well without it.....but it always helps. Good Luck.
