I like black, but come on, this is a classic style pilot watch, it needs a weathered brown strap
-
Here's what I got: I'm looking to get a few more dress watches, I've got a couple of Santos 100s (SS and a TT), since this shot, but maybe a seatimer and a dumont or tortue (if I can find some good ones). Definitely no rolexes for me though, I like the fact that no one asks me "is that real" with any of my current watches.

I like the color of the rep better. Amazing how close this rep is, especially for such a complicated watch (ie, customer bezel, multi-textured dial, etc).

Latest DSN 111H on a black waterproof MP:

Newly purchased Santos 100 TT, love it! The strap is not nearly as bad as I was lead to believe, it's wearable until I get a gen gator on there:

Double AR 3717 on a custom HKTAN pilot strap:

Haha Ken - that's the one watch I really regret selling. Thanks all, more pics to come soon, when the 2 Santos 100's arrive, and the new Bond Seamaster gets here.

Any issues with square crystals? I'm thinking about adding a couple of Santos crystals and a Roadster crystal to the list (taking me to 8 total)

Thanks all! I've sold a few more (the FER008 and the Breitling Bentley 2 tone, but I've got 4 new ones coming - Two Tone Breitling Ultimate Evo black dial, Cartier Santos 100 SS and Santos 100 TT, and finally the new version of the Omega SMP Blue from Silix (with corrected dial and pearl). Plus, other changes will include getting the SMP, the black PO, the orange PO, the 2 Navi's all double AR coated by chieftang's latest AR run. Should take each of these watches from good to spectacular. I already have some of my watches double AR coated, either from the factory or from previous AR runs. These are the Breit Evo's (TT White Dial and black dial, plus the grey dial with diamonds), Breit SFSO blue dial (Swiss), Bentley GT red dial, Omega SMP Chrono, IWC 3717 Pilot, IWC Inge SS, IWC GST white dial, IWC GST Ti black dial, and of course the single sided (quality) AR on the DSN Pam's I have - 111H (latest version), 082 (latest version), and 183H (from about 9 months ago, still very quality piece). The 029 (with 2892 movement) will probably be sold soon, it's just too similar to the 111 overall, and I generally prefer manual movements in Panerai. I also recently took off the black rep breitling strap that I had on my black PO and put on a genuine gator black strap with white stitching, semi-mate and nicely padded, and it really took the whole watch up a notch. Good stuff, can't wait to get the double AR done on this one. Finally, getting a "Nice Collection" comment from Tangfoglio is like having Michael Jordan tell you that you played a good game of basketball. I don't think there's a much higher complement than that

Yes, the GT is one of the few places that you have a great view of downtown to the north and the rockies to the west. Plus theres all kinds of new high end buildings coming in down here being built all the time. I love living in Denver. To continue the above post.... Omega: Panerai: Lastly, some of the ones I have sold or given away to friends and family:

Hi, I've decided to post my current collection in the form of wrist shots. Where I've used or have a strap and a bracelet option for the same watch I've tried to include them both together. Hope you like them. I've also tried to group them by brand as much as possible. First the group tableshots: Groupings by Brand, first up - Panerai: Omega: Breitling: Cartier: Finally, IWC: Next, the wrist shots: Breitling: And I've got one White Dial w/black subial Navi on the way from Josh. IWC: Cartier:

I'd also prefer to do my crystals here (since I'm in the US and K2222 is in Poland). So, put me down for 5.

Andreww, If it's a brown strap you want, go gen. The black rep straps look good, the brown rep straps still look pretty bad, IMO (I have both).

Hanging out with my buddy who just got a gen Breitling for Bentley

I think most people don't like real blingy watches and that breitling certainly qualifies for major bling (minus actual diamonds, of course). The Pam is very stylish and a bit more understated. I've grown inured to seeing Pams on my own wrist, but everytime I happen to see one on someone else it always strikes me how badass looking they really are. -
I'm in for 4 crystals (2 uPO's and 2 Breitling Navi's). All of them have existing AR, but you are sure the lab will have no problem stripping the existing AR off?

I'm ordering the SS and the TT Santos from Silix, so I'd be interested in 2 dials, assuming he sends them to me with the wavy dials (which seem to be what everyone has in stock), and not the flat dials pictured on his site.

Need help with Evo v2 dial choice...quick!
subzero1 replied to mezzanine's topic in The Breitling Area
No, it's a light grey, very close to the gen. My pics may make it look a tad too dark, but I darkened them a bit in photoshop. -
Need help with Evo v2 dial choice...quick!

I've had both the 1st and 2nd gen "grey" dials on this watch. The 1st gen was wrong, it was actually a graphite color with black subdials, and looked quite wrong for this version. The 2nd gen grey dial is actually the exact right color. I got mine with a diamond bezel, so that will be different than yours, but these shots should give you a good idea for what the new grey dial looks like: -
I feel your pain, I truly do. I've had several watches from DSN pass through my hands. 3 were perfect from the get go, 2 were considerably less than perfect. Based on my experience I would say to keep returning it till you get a good one. That is the only real way to give feedback to a dealer on the quality of the products they are sending out. DSN watches are hand made and hand assembled, so there's variation there that would not exist as much from other dealers. But I will say this as someone who has owned PAMs from just about every dealer on the board - when you get a good DSN, one without issues, it BLOWS AWAY the reps from everyone else. DSN's are the only PAM reps I'd feel comfortable wearing around WIS friends. Sure, they may have this tiny detail wrong or that tiny detail wrong (these are reps after all), but the overall "feel" and presence of the watch is one of the very few that can match that of a gen. Look at the crystal, the much cleaner lines of the case, the texture on the dial, etc... Those things all "sell" the watch to a greater degree than on any other PAM rep I've had or seen. So, moral of the story, for me there's hassle involved in dealing with DSN, but it's worth it in the end because the final results are so good when you do get one that is perfect.

The 2nd one I posted is a Breitling Navitimer "Fighters Edition". Great watch.

I'm going with a little bling to cheer myself up after a very tough week. I like this one so much I might have to get the same model with black dial too:

Pilot's watch, hmmm. Either this: Or this:

Someone recently posted about an updated version they got from Silix that looked more accurate to me than anything else recently, but I'm having trouble finding the post. Unfortunately the Silix website has old and inaccurate pictures up of this rep, the one they recently sent to this person was much better than what is on their site.
