I love the concord c1, I hope they do it right. The rubber bezel will definitely be more casual than the polished ceramic bezel of the HBB. I think the Skyland is still a go, but I could be wrong, as it's been about 3 weeks since I got this info. I hope it is NOT cancelled because I want one bad, especially if they do the Black Steel version.
There is a new Heritage coming out that is supposed to be 1:1 and a more accurate rep than the one out now. I'll be getting a brown/copper one for sure.
Concord C1 is getting the 1:1 super rep treatment. So is the Breitling Heritage. Tag Grande Carrera. Breitling Skyland. AP ROO w/sec @ 12. A very exciting time to be a rep-aholic.
I'm waiting too. The current version looks pretty great, and the fit and finish is obviously top notch, but there is one flaw that would drive me crazy - the bezel edge is not quite curved enough, it's a bit too straight up and down on the rep, and it should be more curved as per the gen. This slight curvature to the outer part of the bezel edge is what softens the gen a bit and give is that more 'homage' look, and mirrors the curved onion shape of the crown.
So, I went by Josh's site to see if the new swordfish is out yet (I check everyday, obsessive-compulsive that I am). I saw the new pics of the B&R's, which I always discounted before because I knew the case back was horribly wrong, with those awful engravings where hex nut screws should be. Well, it looks like I might have to break down and buy one of these now, check it out:
And a front shot:
Rubber strap is a let down, but not surprising because this watch is not made by the HBB maker, while the Chronofighter is made by the HBB maker. The upcoming black knight swordfish is made by the HBB maker, that's why I'm waiting even though it is absolutely killing me because I love this watch.
If you can get an IWC with straight markers then that's the way to go. Amazing looking watch and will dress up or down depending on the strap you used with it. Double AR on the crystal makes a huge difference.
The BCE is very cool also, but it's more bulky and less comfortable than the UPO, so that probably rules it out for you.
