  1. Yeah, the bottom chrono on this rep is inverted (points downward), just like it does on the gen version.
  2. Yeah, the standard B&M Riveria Chrono's are kinda 'eh' to me, a bit flat. But the magnums w/there skeleton hour hand and joined 12-6 chrono's are pretty sweet, and the titanium ring on the bezel just re-enforces the feel of 'dimensionality' on this watch.
  3. Got this bad boy in today. My dealer did not send me the SS bracelet as it does not fit, and my plans to "make it fit" are on hold till I can pick one up. But, on the other hand, it's summer, and the rubber strap on this one is at least as good as the other "great" straps on the HBB, Chopard MM GTXL Chrono, Porsche Flat 6, and is better than what's on the IWC Cousteau Diver. Great for the hot days. great for in the gym, great for hiking, running, biking (gotta love spring/summer in Denver). Enough talk, here's some pics. The dealer pics do a good job of presenting what this watch looks like, but they miss the one thing that's super cool about this watch - the 3-D aspect the CGD metal rings around the top and bottom chrono's bring. Hopefully these give a better idea:
  4. Originally Pam's were one of the only super reps around. Now there's tons more top quality reps, so only natural that our collections evolve to reflect that. PAM's are now 'old school' in our world, and there's lots of other stuff to try out. I expect that they will reach a balance with the other brands, and they are a lasting, classic design, as much as Omega or Rolex. Right now I'm fascinated with more 'summer' style watches, such as the rubber-strapped Porsche flat 6 or the B&M Riveria "magnum" on rubber, or the uPO on Nato. But I still also wear my DSN 177H on black waterproof strap, and my 183H on oxblood cordovan, and my PAM FER011 on yellow Nylon panerai dive strap. I don't wear my Breitling Evo's at all, too bling for summer, same for the HBB's. Wish they'd hurry up and release those AP ROO's w/secs at 12, those are great summer watches.
  5. Still this bad boy - uPO w/K2222 double AR on a black nato strap:
  6. FINALLY! I found the right summer strap for my uPO. Black Nato, makes it just about the perfect summer watch for shorts and t-shirts. The SS strap was just too bulky and ridiculous looking on my small wrist, and the black gator was too fancy. I would have liked to use the black rubber strap, but the ends fit the case in such a way that it bulges out and looks goofy. The black nato looks great and makes this large watch rather less imposing and less awkward on the wrist. Double AR by K2222:
  7. JohnG, is your handle a ref. to Memento or Atlas Shrugged? For me today: Tomorrow:
  8. Yeah, it will not fit out of the box, I know that from the dealer. But I have a dremel, the will, and some whisky, so I am going to give a go of modding the bracelet to accept the larger lug screws.
  9. I have one of these on the way, I got an extra metal strap and I'm going to see if I can get it to fit.
  10. Switched to the Inge w/K2222 double ar:
  11. The Porsche is very comfortable, I use it for my workouts. Other rubber strapped watches such as the IWC CD and Chopard MM are also very comfortable.
  12. Can't seem to shake the custom DSN 177H w/Chief AR:
  13. Still rockin' the DSN 177H custom w/Chief double AR:
  14. Right now I'm in casual mode, w/my DSN 177 w/black sub-seconds hand and Chieftang AR. But will likely switch to something nicer to take out the family for Mothers day:
  15. Going out tonight so a little bling is in order:
  16. A little Ti Inge Love (w/1st gen Chieftang AR):
  17. Omega UPO, double AR from K2222, gen gator strap, omega double pushbutton deployant:
  18. D@mn, I think you are going to make me buy yet another watch.....
  19. I don't necessarily disagree with the argument of utility, but that's a different argument than an ethical one. I also don't equate insider trading with cracking (or illegal hacking), as cracking is clearly a violation of privacy and property rights, which is of course very firmly tied to ethical theory. I'm quite certain cracking is wrong because I can see what rights it violates, but I don't see that connection with insider trading, and I'd love for it to be demonstrated.
  20. Juan, my post was in reply to Pugwash, not to you. I probably should have quoted his post in my reply to make that clear.
