  1. If a dealer is listed on the forum, he/she is a Trusted Dealer. That's how it works. They are vetted and approved by the admin team. And I might add, there is no conflict of interest here. Ken runs his business and keeps forum politics out of it. Period. We are lucky to have him here as a part of this mod team.
  2. I can appreciate your point of view, but there have also been PM's in the background here.
  3. Well I see no reason to disable it on a Forum level. I have it turned off on my Tapatalk. If someone wants the signature turned on, who are we to say no?
  4. Oh.... and perhaps you might want to take a look at this announcement posted on August 9th: Short Shut Down
  5. Look... I have been online several times and maybe missed a PM or two. Also.... I have left my computer on and logged in at work and gone home for the weekend. Do not always assume that just because the user control panel shows that the person is online, or has been online recently has actually seen your PM. So, again, give it a rest and give the guy a chance to respond before you start crying foul.
  6. He's got some great dials for sale!!
  7. Staging the shot is as much of a skill as taking the picture and you have that skill in abundance!!!! Those are some absolutely amazing shots!!! You need to keep doing it!
  8. Oh that is very very nice!!! Love the dial texture!!! Is this going to be a regular 1675 or perhaps a blueberry?
  9. That is pure sex! Fantastic results there and an outstanding looking snowflake!
  10. There's a beautiful Space Compax for sale on the bay right now.... Click me Also a really neat looking Favre-Leuba Bivouac... Click Me Both pretty sweet watches! Thanks for the introduction to them M!
  11. This one: In 1974, the M.N. started to extensively equip their commando marines with Tudor submariners. From this point, most of the watches (except a few, for some "sterile" reasons) are marked on the back MN 19xx or MNxx. This date -1974- is very important from a collector's point of view. This transitional model (case reference 7016/0) always has a black dial and "square" or "diamond hands" (see below) The case back is slightly different from subsequent models in that it retains somewhat of a "bubble back" look. The movement is now an ETA 2483, non-hack, no longer found on the earlier models. Of course, the rose is no longer the Tudor emblem, replaced in the late 60's by the current shield.
  12. Great read. Definitely deserves a bump!
  13. I used FedEx a few weeks ago to ship two packages. One went to Santa Ana (which is about 30 minutes away from me) and the other one went to somewhere in Florida. They were both the exact same size and weight. Both were sent using FedEx ground. The package to Florida with insurance cost me $16.50. The package to Santa Ana...... $21.00????? The guy at the FedEx store was more confused about it than I was. He re-entered it three times before giving up and say that he was sorry, but there was no explanation and nothing he could do.
  14. Shot this with my old Polaroid Sun 660 with a brand new batch of Impossible Project PX 600 Silver Shade Black Frame film. Pretty amazing that this company bought up an old Polaroid film factory and has completely revitalized it.
  15. When I test fitted the gen crystal and gasket there was a definite difference in the two pieces. You could see the thickness difference from the 16610 and the 16800 cases. In fact, I would hazard a guess that it was exaggerated more with the crystals mounted. Now, I didn't try different gaskets so that may or may not make a difference.
  16. The Top 5 Coolest Things about Curiosity:
  17. An amazing feat of scientific ingenuity was accomplished tonight! Quite exciting that they were able to successfully land the rover Curiosity on Mars!
  18. Good lord that is stunning! Well done RA and I still love that blue insert! I think it may be time to start scouring the sales threads and eBay to try and find one
  19. Is that an Olliclip wide angle lens on your iPhone? How did you take that shot?
  20. I'd be interested. I would like to get two of the single watch boxes and possibly one more 6 watch box
