  1. Some nice pics! I noticed a Leica reflection in one of them. Is that just a Leica lens, or are you using a Leica camera?
  2. As a mod here, we have seen this sort of thing in the past. New member joins up, asks a random question and then disappears. Next thing you know, that member is out trying to scam someone. Your post contained absolutely zero helpful information in it at all. If you had taken the time to explain why you were looking for the set in the first place, no one would have cried foul. You really shouldn't be all that surprised by the responses to be honest. Add to that your thread title with ***Urgent*** in it and it just screams scam. Nothing happens "Urgently" in the rep world and when someone needs something that quickly it usually also smells of scam. Sorry for your bad experience with this thread, but I am not at all surprised by the members responses to it.
  3. Whole thing is off to Zig to see what he can make of it. Keeping my fingers crossed that he can figure out a way to make all the bits work together.
  4. WOW!!!!! What an incredible transformation!!! Nicely done! I cannot believe what a difference the matte finish made to that dial. Night and day difference and really quite stunning! Well done and thank you for sharing the step by step progress on this one!!
  5. Good point! Really looking forward to getting my Rolex 168000 Triple Zero back
  6. I am not a parent, but I imagine this is a similar feeling. Just boxed up some watches to go for a spa treatment and I feel like a parent who has dropped off his kid to summer camp. I know it will be good for them, but I can't help but feel like I am going to miss them immensely.
  7. Amazing review. Thanks for sharing! You have a PM about the Movado as well
  8. Thought this was quite hilarious!!!
  9. Love that dial!!! Well done! 47mm or 45mm?
  10. You really don't have any need for that movement, now do you? I think you should sell it to me
  11. I was mugged at gun point once. I didn't run out and buy a gun for myself or feel the need to hit the firing range (which I have also done before and I'm a damn good shot if I do say so myself)
  12. I think it's more than just that E, I think people just need to pay more attention. Parents, teachers, peers, etc. You will always see/read interviews with the parents of someone who has been found guilty of a tragic crime like this and they almost always seem to say "we had no idea he/she was so disturbed". Really??? No clue??? Perhaps if the parent/parents spent more time paying attention to their kid instead of just plopping them down in front of the TV or in front of the X-station/Play-Box machine then they might have had a clue that their child has some serious issues.
  13. Somewhat along the same lines, but does anyone know who could do a logo print on an already painted dial? I have an homage dial that I want to add a logo to.
  14. Superb review and great photos! I was really on the fence about this one, but now I really quite like it. The photos really do it justice! Well done and bravo!
  15. Interesting point you have there. Definitely could be a nice and neat way to power some of those more interesting looking LED & LCD watches.
  16. Can't argue with that one, now can I?
  17. Or when the laws change and more people start carrying, then the nut jobs will change and just use something else, like, oh..... I don't know..... maybe a bomb? Guns won't change anything. They'll just escalate the issue and make the incidents that much more violent and the outcomes that much more tragic.
  18. Canadian here living in the states and I have to say that this whole 2nd amendment is just silly in my opinion. I am sorry, but you are saying we should have more concealed weapons as a way to protect from people who have guns???? Really??? So our society would be better if everyone was packing a glock? I know Canadians are generally viewed as naive but come on here folks. Bottom line is that guy was a nut job and he still would have managed to kill some people whether or not other people in the theater were carrying a piece. I think its an absolute tragedy what happened, but the solution is definitely NOT arming the masses just to protect themselves. From what you are saying, the world was a better place when the cowboys were allowed to carry their smith & wesson pistols at all times and when they got cheated in their card game it was ok to gun down the other player. Nice and peaceful. Sounds like a great time. Just my 0.02 on the matter
  19. What a fantastic build! Well done! Definitely a big big fan of the spider dial!!! Can't wait to get my spider dial sub back from the zigmeister.
  20. Now this is something you don't see everyday. NO idea how this thing works, or what the point of it is, but apparently it has an automatic movement and a digital display. More info here
  21. I believe you are correct E. They sure seem like that's what they are
