L'Occitane is damn good stuff, very much the French Evelyn and Crabtree. Old spice deo, I have with me during my travels I recommend it since with the aftershave nobody has a bloody clue what it is even though they like it. Oh, and all you 'Enry Cooper fans, BRUT 33 deo is officially back in the stores Now just waiting for Denim and Hai Karate Thomas, I would suggest the Vaseline Intensive Care very gentle but kick the rear end of over zealous sweat glands.

I guess its also an age thing, I am mid forties now and I find that my kin is tough enough to go against the grain and get a shave so close it last all day, those that are not aware I am a hairy mofo. But it beats the sh1t out of epilating. Besides, I love the personal time I take to do it. Japanese tea ritual eat your heart out.

No, no, no. Very casual when they are worn but unless I am going to a retro party I avoid them. I will stick with my Lewins for day to day. Though having said that RL Oxford in French blue or Poder Pink can still look okay with jeans and blazer for the preppie look

Very impressive, can't wait to see the new additions as they come together

Does that mean I have to wear a brand to make myself a valued member of society? Fake or real our watches appeal to us and we dont all have the income or legacy to buy everything we want. We consdier our real life and have to cover mortgage payment, kids eduction, food and all the other normal day in day out stuff. Since we are not all in a position to buy what in may cases are overprices status symbols why should we not go the rep route. Does it mean that I have to wear clothing with huge logos just so people think I have money? IN my opinion I know the true value of things and their priorities, my kids come befoe a watch or car, if I can enjoy an item that has cost me less but still brings me pleasure I am happy to buy a rep. Oncemy kids leave home I might treat myself but for now, I think I will just keep my priorities and considerations the way they are. Maybe the industry is aiming more to the WAG crowd. I prefer to have taste and the option to make my own choices and not be a fashion sheep prepared to buy a Beckham Jacob & Co just to say Feck You look at my wrist. These may be low brow concepts according to the SWI then they shoud see the friends I have through this hobby and the way we look after each other (as a rule) compared to Pete and Jordon, Posh and Becks and other of their ilk. Yep, my way is the right one..... for me at least Gen Steel Rolex DJ -

Wind or not to Wind; that is the question
chronology1066 replied to Packard's topic in General Discussion
As a rule, I try not to wind my autos, many instances have been reported of auto movements being damaged by manual winding. Maybe a couple of turns and then let your carbon footprint do the rest. -
For the big wrist crew, big thanks to Brad

From what I understand it was part of the Welshmans own collection, he considered it was a personal embellishment to the character having read the book which was the greatest comment on consumerism since Abigail's Party.

Nice to see the Atomium looking so shiny after the last time I was there, hope the pigeons found some place else to live (in a pie perhaps) -
Hi all My to be fixed list is getting bigger and the guy I usually use is becoming unreliable so I need a helping paw. Anyone suggest a reliable and not silly expensive watch smith? Most of them are silly things like knocked out balance wheels and dropped of hands so nothing that could be charged excessively. I currently have about 7 wtches all in need of a variety of gently work. Suggestions?

Looks like Ebay might be trying to change the rules about reps being sold. Seems they are only doing it because the nasty big companies are forcing them to stamp out this criminal and crying shame from being perpetrated. Or perhaps they are losing money from the amount or rep gear being blocked there and sold openly on Ioffer and the like. You decide. I received this mail as I am sure many of you have. Just thought it might be interesting. FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT TO SELL ONLINE eBay was built on a simple idea - that we could empower people by building a global trading platform where practically anyone could buy or sell practically anything. But that idea is now under threat from certain brand owners and manufacturers who are trying to turn back the clock and block the sale of their products on online marketplaces and other websites across the EU. Ultimately, what is at stake is the right of sellers to compete fairly in the wider online marketplace, and the right of buyers to be able to access the best possible deals from the widest possible selection of goods. Some of these brand owners argue that their objective is to prevent the sale of counterfeits on eBay. But thanks to our work with 31,000 other rights owners, only 0.15% of listings last year were detected or reported as potentially counterfeit. The real aim of these brands is to block the sale of all their products on our site - regardless of whether such items are new or second-hand, genuine or fake. It's not just luxury items that are affected, but also everyday items like children's toys, electronic equipment, lawnmowers and pushchairs. And if we want to prevent other brand owners from following suit, we need to act now. We are therefore calling on European policymakers to amend EU competition law to stop these unfair trade practices. But we need your help to persuade them to take action. If you would like to join our campaign against online trade barriers, please sign our petition.
